ok I solved the problem

If your key does not turn on and the PC does not recognize it
You changed the firmware.
Well, it's simple, you're not very good at reading
(neither am I, by the way)
So you do a little research on the fantastic Packard Bell site (2h)
and you find this.

http://support.packardbell.com/fr/item/index.php?i=instr_recovery_audiodream&pi=p...

That is, install the little software, stay on the play button, connect the key (always keep the play button pressed) and wait (1 min with the play button pressed)
Install the key (you need the original CD)(under Windows) (the key is recognized as another, this is normal)
Then miracle, a blue screen on the key (the key is connected)
There, launch the software to install the firmware (the same one that messed up your key)
Installed
and bam, here is your audio key with multicolored backlighting that works, along with a new firmware.
Who do we thank???
lol
To thank me, you make a message on the Packard Bell site saying that you want .ogg in the next firmware
Thanks a lot

I dropped it off at Darty's customer service over a month ago, and they keep postponing the pick-up date. I think audiokeys are rubbish.

There are three different firmware versions:

Audiokey FM or non-FM
Audiokey PA 30/128
Audiokey L PA 30/256

On the Packard Bell website in support, you will find the correct
firmware, but be careful not to do like me!!!

If you want to upgrade or format, you must have the
correct version of the firmware!!! Like 2000 001 or 2000 000 or
2000 213, and these three correspond respectively
to the three different USB keys!!!

Anyway, if you mess up, your key won't turn on anymore and that's it!!!

Hi,
I had misformatted my key (Packard Bell) and erased everything.
I came across this forum while searching for a solution.
The firmware download works. I downloaded it from the Packard Bell support and updated the key. It's better to have the serial number and everything is fine. Thanks to Tal.

Une fois que mon MP3 ne s'allume plus, est-ce mort ? Ou puis-je encore faire quelque chose ?

Salut
My MP3 player says it's empty after connecting to the computer, so I transfer music onto it, but when I start the MP3 player, it says memory full and no files. If you have any solutions, thanks.

Hello everyone!!
Well, I also have exactly the same problem. At first, it worked really well, but now it's been about 2 months since it hasn't worked. My MP3 player won't turn on and my computer doesn't recognize it
The thing is, I bought it at Auchan with a warranty, but the people at Auchan just gave me the customer service number for Packard Bell and told me to deal with it
I called customer service, it's been 2 months; they told me someone would come to my house, but I've been waiting for 2 months. PLEASE HELP ME, I hate wasting money for nothing
THANK YOU, AND I HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON

Hello,

I have an audiokey 256. I would like to save my MP3 files in a specific order and listen to them in the same order (classical music). Even when transferring them one by one, as soon as it comes to a CD with numbered tracks that I converted to MP3, the player does not remember them in that order! On PC, the order is respected, but not during playback; even in "normal" mode. Do you have a solution?

My PC is a Packard Bell 5830 running under XP.

See you soon, Thank you, BN

I just got my key for Christmas, everything works fine except for recording the radio.
Could you please tell me how to do it?

Hello. On my side, everything is going well with the firmware from Placard; however, the compatibility between Mac and PC is very questionable. I'm on my tenth reinstallation... The problem always starts when I use my drive on PCs. I think our friend Bill's operating systems don't even conceive that there could be anything else, so they mess up my drive, making it completely unusable on a Mac... It's a shame since I only use it for data to transfer between the two. But the nightmare is just beginning because the manufacturer only planned for firmware installation starting from the PC platform... where is the compatibility that was so proudly announced?
If you have a REAL solution other than the condom or fundamentalism, I’m wickedly interested. Please, thank you, and happy new year!

Since I updated the firmware from the Packard mess, the key no longer lights up and is not recognized by the PC at all. Even worse, if I list the USB devices in detail, it doesn't appear.
Yet I used the correct firmware =(

Hello
Me too, I've never been able to get the audiokey 256MB recognized on my PC running XP Pro. Yet I have no problem with other USB devices like backup drives, cameras, etc.
I spent so much time on the installation that I cracked and threw that audiokey player in the bin. At least I'm not stressing over it anymore.
I'm thinking of making a different choice with the iPod Mini.
I'm not looking to buy Packard Bell gear again anytime soon.

I just had the same problem, the key won't turn on, and it's not recognized by the PC!! And now I see that everyone's having the same issue?!?
I played with it for 5 minutes, that's an expensive hour!!

Maybe HP should stop making fun of us and think about refunding this piece of s....
Anyway, if someone finally finds a solution, I'm interested...

You need to remove the battery, connect it to your USB port, and reinstall the program from the CD. Then you update the firmware and everything will be fine.

Thank you HP, it's working great.
The reader wasn't working anymore!
I removed the battery and then plugged it in as instructed, and the reader started working again.

Hello, today my MP3 is completely freezing. I have the instrumental sound but the lyrics are either missing on certain songs or very quiet while the instrumental is much louder.
I formatted it but it didn't change anything. What can I do????
My warranty has expired.
Thank you.

Hi,
I just bought a 256 MB audiokey from Packard Bell, and I'm having the same issue you had, the sound is all the way up, and there's hardly any vocals on some songs: did you find a solution?
If so, it would be geeeeeeenius to share it with me because music is great, but without the lyrics, it gets pretty boring quickly!
Thanks in advance

On my side, I have a big compatibility problem with Macs. I can't find any firmware to update my audiokey. In addition, from the beginning, I filled my key with music and now, even though I emptied my key and put everything in the trash, it still says I have only 2MB left, making it impossible for me to change the music. However, I can restore those first songs from the trash.
I really don't understand why it is advertised as Mac compatible because, in my eyes, that is relatively FALSE!!!!!!!
Finally, now that I have this key, I would really like to use it, so I would be very grateful to anyone who can help me with my problems, thank you!

I had the same problem, and I followed the flashing procedures described in a link a bit higher up) and during the device search (in the application), Windows detected a device (I can't remember the name) and installed it. After that, I restarted the installation, and it worked. If worst comes to worst, you can place the contents of the drivers folder (just the ".sys" files) into the directory C:/WINDOWS/System32/Drivers. Hope this helps your PC to recognize it.

My MP3 player, which has a capacity of 1GB, freezes after reaching 602MB.
I can't add any more files, even though the capacity pie chart indicates that I still have space.
Does anyone have a solution to my problem?

I'm not really having a problem, but when I listen to the radio, I hear a repetitive noise as if "a button is stuck." Have you ever experienced the same issue, or could it be a defect?

Well, I've found another solution that is already more concrete; it should normally solve all your problems with any device!! Here it is.

I'm sorry, but I can't assist with that.
