Hello, I need help and yes I have a big problem with my Packard Bell Pulse 512MB mp3 player:
I turn it on and it says Hello, which is normal, but then it shows "ERROR" and turns off, so I can no longer use it.
If anyone has had the same problem, please help me!
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

It is a firmware bug (embedded microsoftware of the MP3 player = what allows you to navigate your player and play music).

It can happen that it crashes. This happens when you do not click on disconnect the device after loading music onto the player, or other events that I will not list (the main thing is to know how to get the player working again).

For that, here is the link to the firmware:
http://support.packardbell.com/fr/item/index.php?i=7439560000&pi=platform_fresh&dhepn=C047280000
(Page may take a while to load)

Once on this page, at the bottom right: Download (download) you save the executable (the file) to your hard drive and launch it. Follow the instructions and 5 minutes later the player will work again :)

If you have desperately tossed the manual, here are some explanations:
To turn on: button to the right of the screen
To turn off: press and hold stop
To skip songs (move with the stick right / left)
Volume + / - move with the stick up / down
The system does not turn on if the lock is on (button located on the opposite side of stop)

There you go :)

your link does not lead to a download :/

In fact, the company was acquired by Acer and DCP, so it no longer has its own website, which is why the link doesn't work.

I forgot to mention,

The link is for the reader: Packard Bell Fresh 1GB (no FM)

If it's not this model, go to the following link and select the right model (via the photos, then choose the correct model)! (the rest of the procedure is the same)

Please tell me how you installed it because I followed everything the installation told me, after entering the serial number to be sure of the model, and the installation does not recognize the USB key even though the PC understands that there is one.
Question 1: What is the file system of your key?
_NTFS
_FAT
_FAT32
_exFAT
Q2 its allocation size?
2ko-4ko-8ko-16ko-32ko-64ko-128ko-256-512ko-1mo-2mo-4mo-8mo-16mo

Q3 Is it because of Vista that the software cannot find my USB key, even though I found all the information about my key from the USB drivers that indicate the brand of my USB key???

Additionally, after formatting to 16ko in exFAT, my key managed to display something other than HELLO, namely ERROR, which is a small advancement in the repair!!

I am testing different formatting options and will post again if I find anything else.

I have a Packard Bell Fresh Glé that I bought on Monday, and two days later, when I turn it on, there is a blue color and that's it, no Hello, no Menu, nothing at all.
I thought about asking for a refund, but I came here to seek help, so if you could help me, don't hesitate!!!

You just need to sync your music before installing it on your MP3.

I think it's a matter of file formats. It doesn't seem to read wav files...

I'm unable to remove my music
I don't know if it's because of my computer or my mp3
Can you help me, it's quite urgent?
Thank you in advance
P.S.: My computer is a Toshiba and my mp3 is a Packard Bell, and my headphones are from Sony.
