Apparently, your question isn't very inspiring :) More specifically, what is a chronotachograph and how is it connected to your PC!

If it is, have you installed the driver that allows you to use it and extract data from it? For this type of device (it looks like a medical tool related to the heart or blood pressure :) ) in my opinion it is provided; if you don't have it, check the manufacturer's website. There you go :)

These files are extracted from new electronic tracking devices of Heavy Goods Vehicles; these files are generally then processed by independent specialized companies.

I am also interested if someone offers software or any plugin to decrypt this type of file.

The Pilot Viewer Light solution is certainly free, but not quite, or at least it encourages users to move towards the paid version, for example to read activity graphs.
You'll tell me it's better than nothing!

I don’t know this new company that created the Pilot Viewer, but I don’t understand how they sell their solution without providing any tachograph data recovery hardware (takflash, DLK...) and data reading tools (takreader, DLK...) ?

I found a really good software with a lifetime license that reads the card, calculates overtime, night hours, and violations.
I can even read my colleagues' cards. Plus, the support is really great.
The software is called simpledriver and they provide a card reader with it for €99.

It's a mess here!
Other than suggesting paid software, I haven't seen much here.
Please note that the V1B and C1B files must be stored for 2 years; there’s no need to read them, the Direct and others just need to be equipped to verbalize...
Otherwise, I know of another free software at Tachosys.com
After creating a free account, you can download Tacho File Viewer.
It's basic but it works.
If anyone has tested other FREE software, please share.
