I would like to know if I can connect Microsoft Access and an AS400. If it's possible, how to do it?

Hi,

Theoretically, there are no problems. You just need to take the ODBC drivers for AS/400 and link the tables.

Hi,

I would say that *normally*, with your AS/400, you should receive ODBC drivers (it's DB2, the DB?). It's kind of the idea, every DBMS comes with its drivers.

If you want a more integrated solution on the 400 side, you have this type of tool, see the link below.

Can you tell me a bit more about Launcher? Is it reliable (security)?
Thanks in advance.

If you use "client access" or a compatible emulator (easy to spot, you just need to see if the 400 STRPCO command works from your PC in 5250 emulation!) as an AS400 emulator, you just need to record a transfer request (in the taskbar you can find downlink and uplink of indo), then you run it either from your PC or from your AS400, and that’s it.
