Hello,
I would like to buy and install a Somfy ASR 5300 alarm myself. Is it difficult and how reliable is it?
Is it compatible with a total unbundling from Free?
Best regards, Alan

Hello,
after two months of waiting, here is the first response.
Easy installation, easy understanding, easy use.
If you have any issues with installation or configuration, I'm here to help.
Otherwise, no problem between the phone gateway and complete unbundling.

Hello,
to see if the gateway works, you first need to enter the phone numbers to alert.
Then once that's done, you need to enter your code +1, meaning if your code is 0000, you'll need to type 0001 and off, and then a call will go directly to the first number, if that one doesn't answer... to the second, and so on.
If that doesn't work, check the proper connection of the telephone gateway, if there's a problem, get back to me.

Thank you for your explanations,
I have correctly entered 2 phone numbers (0611XXXXX, 2 mobiles) on the keyboard,
when I test with the code +1, I still have nothing.
Regarding the connection, I have a Freebox in total unbundling, so I have
- The Freebox connected to my telephone socket (ADSL socket behind the Freebox)
- then behind the Freebox the telephone socket, where I connected the alarm and above it my phone.
- For your information, the phone works well.
- When I activate my alarm, I can hear the beeps from the siren and the transmitter.
I have tried other connections but it's the same!
Can you clarify this subject for me?
Thank you

I am on total unbundling with Darty, I have my test socket arriving in my house, the first socket coming from outside, from there, I pulled an RJ45 cable that powers my box, from my box, I pulled a cable that powers my distribution, thus all my sockets are powered directly from the box, and on one of the sockets, the gateway is connected, and it works without any problems.
Summary: external line arrival, direct connection to the box, from the box, powering the home network, then connecting the gateway directly to one of the sockets in the house. -

Could you tell me why I often receive alerts about the loss of connection from the system group when the alarm is normally triggered in case of a violation?
-
Hello,
regarding the connection losses in the system group, I have noticed some malfunctions, especially when the batteries are not very new, or when the elements are too far apart, or when there are thick materials like reinforced concrete in between.
Check the internal log using the LCD keyboard for the history. I bet the connection losses occur at the same time every day; if that’s the case, let me know.
Best regards. -

Hello,
Regarding post 23 about the distance or interference caused by materials, if you could describe the installation for the system group, to my knowledge, it should either be the walkway, the internal or external siren, the LCD keypad, or a leak detection element.
Let's see, provide me with information and I'll look it up.
Best regards -
Good evening,
Thank you very much for your information.
My installation (ASR 4202) includes 1 LCD keypad, 1 transmitter, 1 indoor siren control unit, 2 motion detectors, and 1 door/window contact sensor.
The keypad and transmitter are about 5 m apart. The control unit/siren is about 3 m from the transmitter and about 5 m from the LCD keypad.
I haven't registered a cut on the motion detectors and the door/window contact sensor.
The system does not indicate a low battery.
See you soon. -
Hi
I saw a really interesting deal on the ASR 5300 alarm on the Somfy website for 899 euros instead of 1250 euros, and I wanted to know what you thought about it.
Otherwise, for your problem, I called Somfy at 0810121237 to have them explain the alarm to me, and I think they should be able to help you with your issues. By the way, is your alarm working...
See you later!
