Return to desktop without quitting the game Solved

Question

Hello,
I am on Vista and I would like to know if there is a way to return to my desktop while playing games without quitting the game in question. Because the Windows key has no effect, even if I press "Windows key + D" it does nothing at all, and when I open the Task Manager, it shows up but after 1/2 seconds it puts me back into the game. I can't find any other solution to be able to return to my desktop without quitting the game.
Does anyone have a solution?

Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.3

But I forgot to mention that I had already tried that way, at first it works but when I want to return to the game, it says that the game has stopped working, and I have no choice, I have to close the program.

this is a game issue, not a windows one.  Make another post with the name of the game and the gaming platform  You may have a better chance of getting a good response and solving your problem.

Hello I think that games manage to use all the power of the PC and going back to the desktop forces you to exit the game.

I had the same issue in BC2 ==> solution ALT + TAB and boom = desktop
