Blackberry SMS issue

Hello,
I have a Blackberry Pearl 8100 for about a month now, and lately I've noticed that my texts show up and then disappear from my messaging shortly after reading them. I've checked the phone's memory, but it's empty (obviously since all my messages have disappeared!). However, my emails remain in my inbox.
I really need some advice, as Blackberry support hasn't provided answers to this issue.

    Hello everyone,
    I got my BlackBerry on December 6th and on the night of December 17th I realized that I could send texts but I wasn't receiving what my friends were sending me.
    On the 17th, I called one of my relatives who works at Orange and he told me to:
    Backup everything I wanted to keep because afterward I would lose everything (Photos, videos, CONTACTS, ...)
    Click on the BlackBerry icon (the button to the left of the main button)
    Go to "Options"
    Then, go to "Security Options"
    Then click on "General Settings"
    Click on the BlackBerry button again
    And do "Wipe Handheld"
    Then the phone turns off and restarts as if it were new.
    I hope this helps some people, it worked well for me.

    For everyone who no longer receives SMS, here is the solution:

    Go to options, security options, firewall

    Once there, enable the firewall but do not check any boxes!!!

    To test the functionality, ask a friend to send you an SMS.
    The blocked SMS are irretrievable.
    If you have no friends, well, you don't need to receive SMS.

    I’ve had my Blackberry for a few days and it was working well
    but for some time now when I receive an SMS it no longer appears in my messaging
    to see it I have to go to the "SMS inbox" folder

      I had the same problem as you! On a BlackBerry 8520 Curve

      I have a solution for your problem, first sort through your emails and texts, delete everything you no longer need!!!

      Then when you have done the cleanup:

      Remove the battery from your phone (without turning it off), wait 1 or 2 minutes, put the battery back in, turn the phone on (it will reinitialize the system for 2 minutes, that's normal!)

      Once the system is reinitialized, your problem will be solved! You'll be able to see your texts as before! ..

      Hello mariesupernana and others. I have this problem... SMS messages no longer display directly; I have to go through the inbox, and I also no longer hear SMS alerts even though everything is configured to make a sound...

      Could some installed themes or applications like Facebook or MSN be the cause of these issues?

    The solution for BlackBerry SMS is to just change the date because when it shuts down, the date changes to 2006, so the order of the SMS changes; it's very effective!

    Hello! I just downloaded the CrunchSMS app and I think it's great! But I would like to know if it is possible to move this app into "messages"; it would be much more convenient than having to go into "applications" every time!

    I unfortunately do not have the answer to your problem, but I see that you posted your question three months ago and I was wondering if you found the solution because I am facing exactly the same issue.

      I found out that I had used all the memory with another application, namely Facebook; I just had to delete the entire app history (which means deleting the messages one by one). The problem came from there in my case.

    Hello! My problem is somewhat different! I send SMS messages, I receive the delivery receipt, but the recipient does not receive the message. However, if I go to my operator's website and send an SMS from my operator account to the same recipient, they receive the message!
    I have tried removing the battery without turning off the phone. Nothing changes. I even changed the SIM card and the problem persists. And still the same recipient....
    Strange. But very annoying

    My answer is yes ^^ for my case, it was themes that caused the bug! I deleted them and then it was fixed! And don't forget to turn off your BB after the deletion and turn it back on afterwards.

    Bonjour, j'ai téléchargé récemment l'application Crunch SMS sur mon BlackBerry Curve, mais maintenant, le problème est que lorsque je reçois des SMS, l'icône de nouveau message s'affiche pour les SMS normaux ainsi que pour Crunch SMS. J'aimerais savoir comment je peux faire pour ne recevoir les messages uniquement sur Crunch SMS. Merci d'avance.

      @paskal I just downloaded this option (crunchsms)
      and I had the same problem as you but I managed to find it, I’ll explain it’s super easy:
      In your menu go to OPTION (key logo)
      Then to SECURITY OPTIONS
      FIREWALL
      and there you block the SMS, there you go :)

      No, there is another way that is better. You go to your messages, go to the first date, press the key with the Blackberry symbol (the menu key), click on it, and delete previous :)

    It may be because the validation time is limited to 1 day (you can change it in the options as soon as you go to SMS).

      On the menu, press the menu/options button on your Blackberry when you're on the menu and check "show all"! To make it appear, go to what you want and uncheck "hide application."
