BlackBerry 8520 Bluetooth issue Solved/Closed

Question

Hello,
I bought a BlackBerry Curve 8520 two weeks ago. Everything is perfect with this phone, the only problem is the reception of items via Bluetooth! I can send without any problem, but it's impossible to receive them! I have tried several solutions like the "receive via Bluetooth" in the multimedia section, but it says "File transfer, Waiting for connections" and it never connects!

Please, if anyone has the solution, help me, thank you.

I just bought the BlackBerry yesterday, and I had the same problem!
So, I came across this forum, but no one had the solution, and then this morning, I found the solution; you just need to go to multimedia --- click the menu key --- receive via Bluetooth!

I also got the Blackberry Curve 8520 thanks to my mobile renewal. It’s okay overall, but indeed the downside of this phone is the Bluetooth because I can neither send nor receive anything with my Bluetooth, nada. It's too bad, plus it's new so I don't think it needs to be flashed or anything. For example, with my old phone, the Nokia 6300, I try to transfer a file (photo or mp3) to the Blackberry and vice versa, but it doesn’t work. I’m fed up with it grrrrrrr. The Bluetooth on the Blackberry 8520 is crap.

Having had a BACKBERRY 8520 smartphone for a week, I just found the solution to connect my Nokia BH 101 headset, and it works.
1- Field of application
2- Manage connections
3- Mobile network options
4- Network search: selection mode "manual"
5- Service status:
- Status: available
- Connection: Blackberry internet service mobile network
- Connection: No connection to blackBerry Enterprise Server
- Connection: No connection..
6 - Bluetooth: Active.
7- Bluetooth configuration return: Search. (don't forget to turn on the headset before searching)

I had a problem with the built-in hands-free kit in the car and my BB 8520. The connection was established well, but I could neither hear nor be heard... I could just see the connection time progress.
The solution was to clean the memory:
- options
- security options
- clear memory
- status: enabled
It is also possible to do: menu/ clear now.
I don't know if this can help with other types of connections!?

To receive files via Bluetooth, for example: if someone wants to send you a song, you'll go to multimedia, then to music, and there in the options you have "receive via Bluetooth" and you click on it. It's the same for images, videos, etc.

Hello Aurore it's really a pain to receive, I struggled a lot with the help of some comments I managed to get to a certain point it said to go to multimedia option receive via bluetooth and once finished the phone remains stuck on waiting for connection grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... so I've had enough I called customer service. even having managed to do it I've never seen such a mess for bluetooth reception finally I'll try to explain as best as I can....... first you need to connect both phones when the connection is made on the blackberry you have to go to multimedia either image or music etc......(it's according to the file you want to receive) then option receive via bluetooth and there the blackberry stays stuck on waiting for connection and only after send the file from the other phone then accept the transfer from the black and choose 'file location' to finally receive the file I hope I have helped you because with words it's not the same as doing the manipulation directly and for that the customer service person had to do the manipulations on their side to be able to guide me ........... here is the downside at the moment I don't have access to other functions because my plan will only be taken into account at the end of the month so maybe there will be other issues................ good luck for the future

It's simple, just go to manage connections, Bluetooth network settings, allow detection to activate it, then you'll see that your device is searching for other devices. There will be a message saying (1, 2 or 3... devices detected). You'll have the list as soon as the search is complete! After that, if you want to send something, go to your multimedia album & click send via Bluetooth, select the file, and the list of devices you found will reappear! Choose the name of the desired device. If you want to receive something, it's very simple, when the person you want to do Bluetooth with selects the file, and they have the list, they select your name. If you're not in the list, they just need to search again. If you're still not in the list, check if your Bluetooth is active, or make sure you haven't kept the device name, e.g., Blackberry 8520. I hope the instructions from a 13-year-old girl helped you!

go to "manage connections"
Turn on Bluetooth
then "Bluetooth settings"
Next, you need to add a device (it must be discoverable)
