Hello,
I bought a BlackBerry Curve 8520 two weeks ago. Everything is perfect with this phone, the only problem is the reception of items via Bluetooth! I can send without any problem, but it's impossible to receive them! I have tried several solutions like the "receive via Bluetooth" in the multimedia section, but it says "File transfer, Waiting for connections" and it never connects!
Please, if anyone has the solution, help me, thank you.

I just bought the BlackBerry yesterday, and I had the same problem!
So, I came across this forum, but no one had the solution, and then this morning, I found the solution; you just need to go to multimedia --- click the menu key --- receive via Bluetooth!

Hello,
Having had a BACKBERRY 8520 smartphone for a week, I just found the solution to connect my Nokia BH 101 headset, and it works.
1- Field of application
2- Manage connections
3- Mobile network options
4- Network search: selection mode "manual"
5- Service status:
- Status: available
- Connection: Blackberry internet service mobile network
- Connection: No connection to blackBerry Enterprise Server
- Connection: No connection..
6 - Bluetooth: Active.
7- Bluetooth configuration return: Search. (don't forget to turn on the headset before searching)
Good luck!

Hello,
I also got the Blackberry Curve 8520 thanks to my mobile renewal. It’s okay overall, but indeed the downside of this phone is the Bluetooth because I can neither send nor receive anything with my Bluetooth, nada. It's too bad, plus it's new so I don't think it needs to be flashed or anything. For example, with my old phone, the Nokia 6300, I try to transfer a file (photo or mp3) to the Blackberry and vice versa, but it doesn’t work. I’m fed up with it grrrrrrr. The Bluetooth on the Blackberry 8520 is crap.

Good evening,
Like you, I struggled to find the solution!!
Actually, you just need to go to
-> paired device and then click on the trackPad
->a menu appears: "connect" ... click on "Device properties" and then a blank settings page will display.
->on the Approved line set to Yes and on Encryption set to Disabled
->then now go to the Multimedia menu->options->receive via bluetooth and it should normally work.
However, in the bluetooth options, I unchecked all services except Serial Port Profile and Data Transfer.
Now we can say it’s a "good" laptop!
There you go, good luck!

No need
To receive via Bluetooth, go to multimedia, then images, then press the button to the left of the dial and go to receive via Bluetooth
There you go, see you later 2

For Bluetooth on the Curve 8520:
go to "manage connections"
Turn on Bluetooth
then "Bluetooth settings"
Next, you need to add a device (it must be discoverable)
Then go to the device that has been added and go to "options"
And then in the options next to discoverable set it to "yes"
and only after that, go to "multimedia" select the file type
and set receive via Bluetooth

Hi there, I have a BB 9300 and I requested that my mobile network settings be activated for about 24 hours. I hope this helps you.
The surprising one from Brussels.

Hello,
If you haven't paired any other devices with yours yet, that's normal. To pair, go to Settings - Bluetooth settings, click - it will offer you "search," click.... Once you have paired at least one device, the "paired devices" list will appear... I hope that's clear enough...
However, my problem is still this Bluetooth issue... I've followed all the instructions provided on this forum and nothing at all... I can send but not receive... when I go to Multimedia - Menu - Receive via Bluetooth, it displays "File Transfer - Waiting for Connection" (and nothing more).... and on the other phone, it shows "Connection Failed" then "Check Bluetooth settings on the other device: BT enabled, device visible and within range".... So, in the end, it's quite annoying...
Also, I don't know if it's normal, but the BB appears in the list of devices detected by other devices under the name Mac Myose ??????
If someone knowledgeable could help me, that would be greatly appreciated... thank you in advance... It's a shame to have a new phone and not be able to use it fully........

I had a problem with the built-in hands-free kit in the car and my BB 8520. The connection was established well, but I could neither hear nor be heard... I could just see the connection time progress.
The solution was to clean the memory:
- options
- security options
- clear memory
- status: enabled
It is also possible to do: menu/ clear now.
I don't know if this can help with other types of connections!?
To be continued!

welcome to d-block
the problem is that your mobile needs a flash
anyway, you can't flash it yourself
you'll have to take it to a repairman
