In fact, the blue color continues and it's completely normal; all PS3s do this when there is a disc inside.

No, no, at the beginning she wasn't doing that. Ever since I changed the lens, the blue light stays on and the green one too. I had a hard time putting the disk drive back together... It's okay, don't worry, it works like that too. The day it finally dies, I'll throw it away and maybe switch to Xbox, lol. Thanks anyway, see you later!
Oh by the way, you can also start by resetting it by holding down the tactile M/A button in the front while you turn on your console from the back. Keep me updated, good luck. Best regards.
Hi, are you sure it's the motherboard?
Yes, my console was disassembled and my dad thought it was the power supply, but since you’re telling me it's the motherboard, I’m not so sure..
Otherwise, my dad went to Micromania and they gave him the number of a guy who works there and is an expert in PlayStation repairs!
Thanks for getting back to me, it’s pretty urgent (I think you understand me lol)

Hello,
when I turn on my PS3 it no longer works, when I turn it on it goes from green to orange and then it makes a strange noise and finally it goes to flashing red. I hope you will send me a response, thank you, and it's a 60GB.

I feel the same way, but it's a 40-gig and it's driving me crazy. I want to smash it. Does anyone have a solution, please? Thanks.
roooo I have the same thing, it seriously annoys me, you know, I want to have a little party but I can't :@ If we leave it for a little while, will it restart or what?? The problem is that my cousin plays nearly all night and I play during the day. Is it possible that if we leave it for 2 or 3 hours it will restart??
Just to let you know, there’s a vice that’s yours, it’s blue, but to access it, you need to open it.
me the same since today but it's a 60GB bought at Carrefour ... it turns on green normally and turns off very quickly, orange and red are flashing. what to do, does anyone have a solution? I'm upset, thanks friends.
It's pointless to repair that console; it requires a lot of equipment and accuracy, plus it's a temporary fix (the problem will return soon), so basically, the console is dead.
Salut, désolé de te déranger, mon copain a un problème avec sa PS3 qui clignote rouge. Peux-tu l'aider ? Je te donne mon adresse mail : pomppounette@hotmail.fr
It just happened to me
I took it apart, I warmed up the motherboard with a hair dryer (for about 20 minutes) and now it's working (I didn't know anything about the PS3 and I succeeded)

You may say I'm lucky, but it's true I found the first PS3 outside, so I took it, but as soon as I turn it on, the button turns green and 4 seconds later it turns light orange and then red, and it keeps flashing endlessly. I don't know why. I completely dismantled it, removed about 4 grams of dust, and it does the same thing. Why?? =(
