Hello,
one of my friends recently signed up for Meetic, but she cannot contact all the people she wants to because for some, you have to pay to message them while for others, you don't.
Do you know why? Thank you for your help.

Hello,
I believe that your friend is not subscribed (she's not paying). For some time now, Meetic has become paid for women as well, so your friend can only respond to PREMIUM members (has nothing to do with the photo). These are members who pay a higher subscription than others. For the others, she cannot read their messages, respond, chat, or even see their profiles; for that, she needs to juggle and try Meetic Be, which sometimes (not always) allows you to view profiles.

I signed up for 6 months on the new Meetic Affinity site...

Well, avoid it because it’s far from what they have announced with great advertising...

There are very strange things in their system...

Some women add me to their favorites and don’t reply to my messages?
Others want to start a conversation, I reply to them and then nothing? (Well, for the gossipers, my answers aren’t heavy or stupid... or maybe... no, I’m just kidding! Anyway, it’s weird!)

Some I reply to are marked as having left and haven’t read my messages, following their messages?

Some respond to messages marked as unread by the server...

The responses from their moderators to your questions are all canned phrases that they throw out without really reading your messages... However, they have a system that makes it seem professional. As soon as you leave your message on the site, an email alerts you that it has been received and that you will be replied to as soon as possible. But, I mean, sometimes you think they should have avoided replying at all, given the quality of the responses...

To be frank, I think I got fooled, but hey, it’s all fair game... they are there to market and rake in money... and I contributed! Smile...

So, I signed up for Netclub (I don’t have shares in them... don’t worry), and it’s much better...

Although, who knows, maybe Netclub belongs to them too and we just don’t know it.

But anyway, one piece of advice:

Meetic Affinity: to be avoided!!!

I have the same problem on this site as a subscriber...

Except that I really feel like contacting the CNIL because I'm not sure this message filtering is legal at all...

And for ayla_taka, believe me, as a subscriber, it's much worse; I don't receive anything anymore...

It's simply that young women are registered but not subscribed (because it's too expensive!), so it's impossible to send messages, receive them, or see photos; only the viewing of profiles is possible.

After a bit of manipulation, the icing on the cake is that I am asked for my credit card each time to access it.
