Here, I'm looking for a site where I can create a family tree and search for information for FREE. All the ones I've seen are free at first as a trial and then charge you when you go beyond the 2nd generation.
That means you can't do anything!!!

I know a site called www.FamilyBy.com.
You can create your family tree for free, and then invite your family to join you on the site. You can create a forum where everyone in your tree can leave messages.
It seems to be a new site and it works well.
Personally, I created a tree with 127 people from my family, and I was even able to print it out neatly.
In a way, it's a sort of family Facebook.

Hello,
I think that too often family trees are too simple; they only show direct ancestors and descendants. But when you want to show the ancestors and descendants of spouses, their siblings, I only know Genopro, but it's not perfect, a bit too confusing. Does anyone know another one?

  On Nos Origines, it's free and you just need to place links in the biographies that you can add there, as well as photo links. That's what I do myself - adding biographies on the genealogy site Nos Origines.
  It is possible to place biographies and information about ancestors in their profile on Nos Origines, and a shortcut and a link are automatically created in the Nos Origines biography database when it's saved. You just need to click on a person's profile, the icon: note and information, which is a small icon in the shape of a written page, next to the icon for adding photos. Then you write or copy a text there and add parallel bars to create separations for the text; you can even include related links. After that, click to check at the top of the text, and the article will be automatically published, then click below: save, and a very visible shortcut is automatically created on a person's profile. I would like to repeat one of my comments: what do you mean by "family tree"? Is it just the father and mother of each person, or is it a diagram that includes everyone, siblings, spouses, descendants of everyone?
Because in the first case, it's really quite limiting and ignores sometimes very important people not only in the family's history but in history in general. For example, I have the husband of a great-aunt, a colonel of Cossacks who died on the front, or a maternal uncle who was a hero of the resistance, who therefore do not have a place in a simplified tree.
What do you think?

Download the PAF 4 tree of the Mormons (free) and very easy. Go to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and follow the instructions.

I know I'm a bit late, but try "geni.com" and let me know what you think.
It's American, there's a bit of a learning curve, but once you get over that, it's all benefits!!!
In summary: You have all your relatives at your fingertips as long as you register their email. You can upload photos, videos, jokes, etc... Correspond with your relatives, that's what it's all about!
There are birthdays, deaths, holidays, etc... Each relative can contribute to THEIR tree, which is nice for those of us, like me, who live 10,000 kilometers away, and it strengthens the bonds when you're not too keen on writing.
I want to point out that I have nothing to gain from Geni, but if you're interested, I can help you take your first steps...

    On geni.com everything is free except for the "virtual bouquets of flowers" that you give for a birthday, a celebration or ... a death.
