Hello,
I want to automatically send an out-of-office message through OUTLOOK. I've found a way to create a message and use it, but the condition for the sender to receive my automatic reply is that someone has to turn on the computer every day and open the email.
Is there a way for someone to know a more efficient method that doesn't require the intervention of a third person?
Thank you very much.

Unfortunately, there is no "Tools->Options" menu in the latest Outlook 2010 - So the responses are nice, but rather incomplete for the 2010 version.
Hello,
If you have an Exchange mailbox, in Outlook --> tools you should have the out-of-office manager, which allows you to create an out-of-office message that will be sent as soon as someone emails you, even if your PC is turned off.
Good luck

In Outlook 2010, you go to the File tab (in the top left), and you have the menu where you will find Automatic Replies.
Yes, in that case, I confirm that you need to keep your messaging open for it to work. The problem is that your rule is applied locally, meaning on your Outlook email client and not a rule that is applied on the server. I advise you to contact your IT support and ask them what they suggest regarding the out-of-office manager.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Hello,
In my company (Exchange server + Outlook 2000/2002), in Tools > Out of Office Assistant, when we check "I am currently out of the office," with the automatic reply text, it works perfectly without needing to keep the machine on; the information is stored on the server.
What email system do you use with Outlook, Gmail, personal ISP, corporate?
