Connect an iPhone with IDA X300 car stereo

Hello everyone, I just bought a 2009 used car, there is an Alpine iDA-X300 head unit as the radio, the problem is that when I connect my iPod to its adapter, nothing happens and when I connect it via a USB cable it shows me a device error. What should I do? I really need your help.

Good evening, you can make the telephone function work on the Alpine IDA-x300 unit using a 3.5'' male/male audio jack. Simply connect it to the back of the unit and to the iPhone’s headphone output. Then everything will work (music and phone).

solution to enable the auxiliary output on Alpine car radios:

Briefly press the "Function" button, then press and hold again until you reach the configuration menu. In this menu you will find all the hidden radio options, including those that enable/disable the Auxiliary output.

In this menu, there are several types of auxiliary: Aux, Aux+, Digital output, etc.... For my part, I had to set Aux+ to On.

With Alpine, you can read the MP3s from your iPhone, but you can't use it as a hands-free kit! Only if you bought the Alpine Bluetooth Kit as an option!!!! 99€ :::-((

I have a December iPhone 3GS ....

an Alpine XDA-X300 car radio (the old one with the green display) with the add-on module to handle Bluetooth ....

hmm how to say .... the pairing/recognition goes relatively poorly .... the head unit pairs well with the iPhone, but the iPhone cuts the Bluetooth connection on its own after a few seconds (as soon as you leave the configuration page or worse when it goes to sleep)

Since I was used to my old Sony phone where it worked in 30 seconds for almost 2 years of good and loyal service, I’m wondering if the iPhone 3GS Bluetooth module is as poorly finished as the bridled one on the 3G and the original version ...

Unless there are things to configure, or some packages to install via Cydia or other .... but I haven't found anything yet ...

it's normal, you need the Bluetooth kit that goes with it! when your iPhone rings it no longer sends music but the ringtone is all!

Hello, I have a small problem: the connection from the phone to the handset works fine, but when someone calls me I can hear the person on the speaker, but they cannot hear me.

Following the update of my 3GS to OS 4, the Alpine IDA X100 car stereo no longer recognizes it..

You just need to reset the iPhone (not a data-loss reset! just a reboot actually)
Home + Power until the Apple logo appears and let it reboot.
Reconnect ............ tadaaaamm !

I reconnected to the car stereo, it beeps that it’s not compatible with iPhone, stray thing, but the iPod works!
