Hello,
I have a problem with Bluetooth on my Mac.
I can send files from my computer to my phone without any issues,
but sending files from my phone to my computer doesn't work!
It says: connection failed!
Thank you for your response.
P.S: I have a MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz 200 GB. Thanks!!
Configuration: Mac OS X Safari 525.20

Hi,

To answer exactly the question "send a file from a mobile phone to a Mac," here is the correct answer:
This takes place in "System Preferences / Sharing." You need to check the box named "Bluetooth Sharing." This allows you to configure the items on the right side of the window, including the action taken when receiving items from another Bluetooth device.

Weird, I've never done that :S

Normally, to send just one item from my phone to my Mac:
I turn on Bluetooth on the Mac,
I select the file on my phone -> send via Bluetooth, and my Mac appears in the list of visible networks.
Then my Mac asks me if I want to accept the file, and that's it.

Well, it's always good to know :)

Have a nice day.

Hi,
I have exactly the same issue as Dragon, with my MacBook and my Samsung phone. I did everything Ritchi mentioned, Bluetooth sharing is enabled in the system preferences, the phone is paired with the computer, its icon appears with the mention "connected", likewise on my phone, the computer is recognized... and yet! when I ask the computer to "browse a device", it only offers to send files to the phone, not to receive them, and when I ask the phone to send a photo to the Mac via Bluetooth it says "connection failed." This service isn’t supposed to be paid, right? (I have no credit left)
Good night, see you tomorrow morning probably...
