Issue after cleaning my flat screen

Hello,

Unfortunately, I cleaned my screen with window cleaner.

I now know it's very bad but I thought I was doing the right thing because the wipes seemed too dry and I had to press to remove the stains.

Anyway, after cleaning, I turned on my screen and there were large bright spots (white-blue fluorescent, I would say) on my wallpaper. They slightly reduced in a few seconds but remain present.

For example, on my wallpaper, there's a picture of a singer and the spots are located on her nose, the tops of her cheekbones, the upper lip, and a small "flash" in the white of her eye.

On Gmail, everything looks normal, the same on Facebook, but on MSN, I have vivid blue streaks symmetrically across the top of the screen.

In conclusion, my question is:

Did I ruin my screen by cleaning it? And what should I do?

Thank you in advance for your responses.

The window cleaner is for glass. In my opinion (advisers are not the ones who pay, but this is what I would try myself), there are special liquid products for flat screens. Try using them to clean it all, it can't do any more harm and you have a chance of diluting those marks and making them disappear.

Hi,
it's not so much the product used as the fact of having pressed on the screen if it's an LCD screen (with a tube, the problem is different)

Normally, over time, the defect should fade away.
See you later

Thank you very much for your replies...

But I talked to my boyfriend when he got home from work and he told me he had the issue last night already.

I'm relieved to know that it wasn't me who messed up the screen, but where does this problem come from then???

Does anyone have an idea?

A friend told me that the lifespan of flat screens does not exceed 4 or 5 years. Is that true?

As for my boyfriend, he thinks there might be a problem with certain color codes. Does that seem likely to you and is it repairable?

Always spray the product on the cloth, never on the screen. I’ve known some who went deaf while cleaning their phone the other way, lol. However, you can fix it with a dry glasses cloth.
