How to find out who's calling me from a hidden number? Solved/Closed

Hello,
I have a problem, it's been at least a month that every day except Sunday (I don't know why...?!?!?!) someone calls me at home on my landline at 1 PM... and at 7 PM... as if by chance those are the times I'm supposed to finish and be back home... it's really starting to annoy me; I'm really fed up, especially since practically no one has my number, I'm not in the directory and I'm on the do not call list!!!!! I've heard there's a website or something similar that allows you to identify who is calling me... can someone help me?????? Thanks a lot Configuration: Windows XP

With some Telecom operators (Free, SFR), it is possible to refuse unknown calls:  Here is the procedure to follow from your telephone device to filter these calls: To activate the service: *82# To deactivate the service: #82# To check if the service is activated or deactivated: *#82#    With Orange, it is possible to activate the "Stop Secret" service in the Orange.fr customer space, under the "my phone by internet" section.

With France Télécom (for landlines) since June 15, 2008, it is possible to find out who is behind a withheld call with an extra euro on the subscription, as well as with Free, but for free.
Let's go back to the mobile phone. For several days now, I have also been receiving withheld calls on my mobile, and every time I answered, there was complete silence on the other end. This afternoon it happened again and this time I rejected the call; the person ended up in my voicemail and left me a message with a garbled voice and a lot of noise in the background. I recognized that voice... When a withheld caller goes to voicemail, the operator (the voicemail) does not give the number! If a withheld number sends a text message, we get their number starting with "+336......"
To summarize, if the withheld caller goes to voicemail and is not clever, well, with a bit of luck they will leave a clear message! If they have a bit more sense, they will distort their voice (I want to say that's logical! Otherwise, it wouldn't be an anonymous call to annoy!).
Whatever the operator, none have the authorization to reveal the identification of the withheld number except with permission if a complaint is filed! WITH OR WITHOUT THREATS! since it remains a moral and psychological violation! (when you feel persecuted all day long). Walking into a police station doesn't kill you, and even less so when explaining your problem because those agents are there for us, as you know, since we pay them! And quite dearly!

There is a very simple method to gain peace from anonymous calls with hidden numbers.
If you are with Orange and have a Livebox, proceed as follows:
1: For the main line, opt for the "stop secret" service that has been available since June 2009 for €1 per month (peace of mind is worth it)
2: In your "unlimited telephony" account via ADSL, you can take the "number forwarding" option for free and have calls received via the Livebox forwarded to your main line equipped with stop secret, so anonymous callers who are bothering you will be required to identify themselves for your phone to ring.
3: You refuse the calls from anyone who tries to use a "fake name" to trap you. Moreover, you will have informed your friends and family of this arrangement, and you will recognize their voices, so no more worries about wrongdoers. Try it and you'll adopt it.
I imagine there are also similar possibilities with other operators.

Hello, France Telecom has a service to block unknown calls; it costs 2 euros (service stop unknown calls, good luck, kisses).

My solution:
1) Go see the police + file a report
2) Return to the police with the report and demand to file a complaint (if they refuse, ask for the reason in writing)
3) Call your provider and request a service like stop secret and detailed billing.
4) File a complaint against X by adding the two reports
5) Complain about harassment.
6) Ask the police to identify the number behind the hidden number.
Wait until night (great if it's an individual ^^) call back every hour and let it ring twice, the first time leave a message stating that if the person continues to call you every day without identifying themselves and without speaking, then they will have the right to the same every evening, end your message by stating that you have filed a complaint.
N.B: Call yourself with a blocked number too!

2nd version if you manage to get the number:
"At the masked ball Ohé Ohé!" or for those who don't want to waste time, each time just say Ohé Ohé then hang up.

It's my brother who is the victim of these kinds of things, but we (him and I) have started to think that it might be a defect in the phone itself, because even when he changed the SIM card, the calls continued...
it's like on a voicemail, I pick up and the same phrase repeats "Balou-... Andrea ah Andre-..."
when I heard it the first time, I immediately recognized my voice (Andrea ah Andre-..) and my brother's voice (Balou-..)

Hello, I have some information to share that might shed some light for some of you. I requested the cancellation of my SFR neufbox line a few days ago. I received their acknowledgment of receipt via SMS this morning, and since then, I've received at least 15 anonymous calls spaced half an hour apart. When I reject, there's no message left, and when I pick up, there's no voice, just a vague keyboard noise.

I decided to be patient and get to the bottom of it. Finally, on the 15th call, a young lady finally spoke (with a 5-second delay), introduced herself, and explained how I should return my neufbox, etc. It was indeed a call from SFR as I suspected.

At the end of the call, I mentioned these numerous masked calls with no voice. She explained that it was indeed coming from them and that their equipment was malfunctioning.

So there you go, if you receive this type of call, it could be a call center for unsolicited marketing, or a legitimate follow-up from customer service.

Personally, I don't think it's due to faulty equipment. Customer files must be managed by a computer, which dials the numbers automatically, creating the cadence. As long as the file isn't closed, the number is redialed every half hour. It's up to the operators to keep up the pace afterward. They have a certain number of minutes to handle a file and must wrap it up quickly to take the next call. If they fall behind, it spirals out of control and the customer waits stupidly on the other end of the line until they get quite frustrated.

Do you know anyone who works in these call centers, and can you confirm this theory?

Well, this is an explanation, which of course has nothing to do with the creep calling at night, and it doesn’t solve our problem either.

There is an app for iPhones. For Nokia, I believe the 1110 as well. But for landline phones, you just have to ask your operator.

The simplest procedure to stop this kind of call is as follows  1- search on Google for the direct number of the nearest gendarmerie (a number starting with 01, 02, 03..., 17 will not work for the next steps as it will be rejected)  2- go to call forwarding and select "forward if busy" (do not select "forward all calls!!! your friends might not be able to reach you!!)  3- enter the landline number of the gendarmerie you found and activate the call forwarding  Once these 3 steps are completed, all you have to do is hit the hang up button when your unknown friend decides to annoy you. From then on, their call will be automatically redirected to your gendarmerie.... Guaranteed effect !!!!! :D Moreover (at least, I think so without certainty) the number displayed at the gendarmerie's switchboard will be your unknown caller's number... decrypted... ;)

I have the same problem............ someone keeps calling me from a private number........ I answered once and there was no one......... they called me back, I answered: no one, and so on. I found a method that so far seems to work. It's actually very simple: in your contacts, add a contact named "Private Call" and use stars as the number (*****). Then go to your call settings, reject calls, and add the private number. That's what I did, and for about the past fifteen days, I've had no more private/unknown calls. It was time, that's that!

If the unknown person leaves you a message, it's because they're dumber than average. You shouldn't get angry because this kind of idiot gets even more excited by that. You respond kindly by asking for their phone number for a potential drop; that frustrates them. I know it's easier said than done, but always remain in control of yourself.
