Hello,
I am with Numericable. I changed from a modem to the Netgear router in order to connect my laptop, my PS3, etc...
Everything works well but on eMule, I have a low ID.
After checking various forums, it's explained that I need to change the IP addresses.
When I do that, eMule goes back to high ID but neither my laptop nor my PS3 can connect to the internet.
After resetting everything, I regained internet access on my devices but I ended up with a low ID on eMule again.
Can someone guide me on how to make everything work? Apparently, it is possible, but the information I am getting is all over the place.
Since I am not a computer expert, I don't want to risk getting completely lost in messing things up and not being able to find my way back.
Thanks in advance to those who know the answer.

Hello
From top to bottom this link is precious

Believe me! -
IT IS NECESSARY TO OPEN A HIGHWAY BETWEEN YOUR PC AND THE FARTHEST HOSTS: highid
therefore ports listed in tcp udp preferably/connection
a few boxes to check
emules allowed in the firewall
ports open in the router
a restart of the mule
only one firewall
only one antivirus

I just opened ports 4661 and 4671 UDP and TCP on my router
and configured eMule accordingly!
It's working perfectly
See you+ -
Thank you for your responses and your help. It didn't work. I followed Marco Fortiche's tutorial for dummies, but nothing changed in the end; my two PCs can connect as well as my PS3, but my desktop has eMule showing Low ID.
I don't quite understand why.
I also created a rule on my firewall (Kaspersky), but that didn't change anything either. -
To provide more info about my setup, I have a Netgear CVG834 G modem router.
A desktop PC and another laptop running Windows XP Pack 2. I also use a PS3 and an iTouch via Wi-Fi.
And here is the setup for my desktop PC, the one using eMule.

Thank you in advance to those who can give me a hand.
At worst, if it's really too complex, I admit that I prefer to be able to use the internet on all my machines rather than having a high ID mule with internet only on my desktop. But there you go.
Thanks again to balulolo and marcofortiche for their help. -
Thank you balulolo.
Well, something quite improbable is happening to me. My mule no longer has its eyes blindfolded (cool) but when I go to the Servers tab, in my info, I still have a Low ID. I thought that was impossible.
I had already noted the correct TCP and UDP ports but it didn't change anything. For the rest, I admit I didn't fully understand your message. -
When you say a few checkboxes, all of a sudden I feel fragile.
When you talk about proposal 4, is it to update the list of servers? -
preference
connection
check all the boxes except:
disabled
connection at startup
enter the speeds provided by the connection test
and the port numbers given later by the test////////my link in post one
yes for marcofortiche
on emule you can also go to irc
you connect at the bottom left and follow the discussions and you can ask questions

ok, thank you, I really feel like a big fool. I think I hadn't restarted my mule.
Thank you very much for your help and also to marcofortiche. You guys have been really cool.
Thanks again
