Probleme Resolution Ecran Debian

Bonjour,

je possède un Debian GNU/LINUX 4.0r2 Etch I386 et j'ai un problème de résolution car je possède un écran 22" et je ne peux avoir qu'une résolution fr 1024*768.
Comment faire pour pouvoir avoir une résolution 1680*1050 (22")

C surement ta carte graphique qui ne peut pas aller plus loin en résolution

a bon pourtant sous windows j'ai la bonne résolution et aucun problème.

ben le truc en fait c'est que je connais pas linux je le decouvre au fur et a mesure donc si tu pouvais m'aider sinon merci kan mm

Ben en fait j'arrive pas trouver des pilotes de ma carte graphique spécifiques a linux.
Tu n'aurais quelque chose pour m'aider merci.

Si je me souviens bien j'avais le même tour sur ma Ubuntu et j'ai directement été changer la résolution dans mon xorg.conf (/etc/X11/xorg.conf). Mais un conseil enregistre le d'abord pour pouvoir le replacer après si tu as un pbm ^^

ouai j'ai lu kelke truc dessus mais le probleme c ke je debute juste sous linux et je ne sais pas koi modifer dessus.

Voici mon document xorg.conf et jaimerias en fait zvoir une resolution de 1680*1050 au lieu de seulement 1024*768 :

Tout d'abord fais une sauvegarde de ce fichier, du style tu le copies en xorg_old.conf, comme ça tu pourras le remettre en place en mode texte si tu n'as plus accès à l'interface graphique (pcq ce que je vais dire est à confirmer :S )
Et sinon moi je pense que tu devrais remplacer ton:

En gros tu lui imposes la résolution :)

Salut,

on va tout recommencer si tu veux bien, car tu as fait plein de trucs complétement inutile pour le moment ... tu es toujours avec le pilote générique (vesa) !!!

Tu as quoi comme carte graphique ?

bon rien de bien grave, tu cherches et installe le paquetage : xserver-xf86-video-intel

Après tu édites ton xorg.conf et tu adaptes avec le bon pilote :

moi aussi javait ce probleme de résolution d écran , sur debian etch et je sait pas ce qui c est passer mais je suis aller changer la memoire video dans mon bios (j ai mis le plus possible) et quand j ai redemarrer sous linux j avait le choix de 4 résolution d écran. Avant j en avait toujours qu un seul ... bizzard peut etre mais entk ca là marcher pour moi!!! quelqu un peut me dire si c est un coup de chance ou bien si cela peut réellement règler un probleme de résolution d écran?!?
