I await your response
Thank you

The blue files are compressed files (either the folder is compressed / or Windows has compressed them to save space)

There are also green files, which are encrypted files.

To disable the colors, you need to go to the Explorer options.

See you!

Good evening,

These files are compressed files. They help save space on your hard drive.
To make them available, simply decompress them by clicking or double-clicking on them.

Best regards

Kokliko

Thank you for replying.
Once opened and closed, don’t they turn black?
(I know that clicking or double-clicking opens them, but normally, once closed, they revert to black).
Unless Anonyme (hello to him, by the way) is right and your problem lies within the options of the explorer.

See you later!

It's not a big deal about the color lol, no need to worry ^^

But if you want to disable the colors

in the explorer, you need to go to tools > options > display

and uncheck "Show compressed & encrypted NTFS files in color"

There you go.

Your files are compressed by default due to an option choice that determines this type of storage on your hard drive partition.
It's simple, right?!
Right-click each highlighted folder, properties, advanced, uncheck the box (compress content to save space on the HDD)
And to remove this option from your disk once and for all:
Open the target disk, go to the organize tab, click properties, uncheck the box (compress this drive to save space...)
I forgot to mention that this procedure is done on Windows 7; I don’t know about other systems!!!
I hope I was at least helpful to other people with the same problem, considering that the question is quite old, and you probably resolved it by now.

To respond to Kokliko, if I click or double-click on the file, it opens automatically. It's not in a zip folder; these are normal folders that are written in blue
And to respond to Anonyme: What do you mean I have to go to the options in the explorer???
Thank you for replying.

Hello, I would like to know where to find the option so that Windows does not compress its files and folders, because removing the blue color still leaves the file/folder compressed!

I find that over time, MP3 files (among others) deteriorate!

(I am on Win XP)

Hi,
Just right-click on the file, then choose Properties, in the General tab click on "Advanced..." and uncheck "Compress contents to save disk space."
There you go ;)

Ok, thanks! But isn't there an easier way to avoid having to select the files one by one?
