MFC42u.dll missing component

Hello, does anyone know how to fix this problem? Several software programs are not working anymore, like iTunes. Is it due to a virus?

      Thank you for your response. No, I haven't deleted any files unless it's a virus. I reinstalled the software that isn't working, but I still get the same error message. Should I format?

    https://www.fichier-dll.fr/mfc42u.dll,2227 will download it there, it's simple. You save it on the desktop, scan the file with your antivirus, open it if it’s not infected, cut it and paste it into your system32. To go to your system32, you go to start ----> run, type c:\windows\system32 and paste it. You restart your PC and let us know what happens, thanks.
