Solved

Hello,
I've just reset my PC, but now I have to reinstall everything and I realized that I no longer have the installation CD for my multifunction printer Pixma MP170. I went to the Canon website to find the drivers, etc., but they told me it's not possible. Anyway, I need help.
Thanks in advance
Configuration: Windows XP AOL 9.0

    Why is no one replying to me? I'm sure many people here know the answer, I'm not a super computer expert and right now I'm lost, I need to use my printer, it's essential!!!

      Hello!
      Unfortunately, I don't have any answer for you, but maybe you can just try this: attempt to print by selecting your printer (MP170, that is), and if there's a need to search for installation CD, choose "manually," and go look in that famous Canon folder you unzipped...
      Good luck, I'm going to check myself if I can find those files on 01net... (I'm in the same situation)
      Good luck!

    Here is what I'm being told on the Canon website:
    "Your search returned no results.
    The search is too costly to be completed."

    Well, I went to telecharger.com and I was able to download 3 drivers for my Pixma MP170 printer, I unzipped them (at least I think so) and now I have a folder named "canon" on my desktop and when I open it, I see a lot of stuff inside. But what do I do now? That is the question... I really, really need your help...

    You go to the Canon website in search of mp170, you choose your OS and there you have all the drivers and the MP Navigator software.

    Hey!

    I was in the same situation as you and I just found the solution after days of struggling =)
    So! I don't know exactly what you downloaded, but remove everything.
    Download this -> m5901mux.exe
    At this address -> https://www.canon.fr/support/business-product-support/
    Once you have it, click on it and Unzip it (decompress it).
    Then you'll find a Canon folder, go inside. Go to DrvSteup, then run "Setup" (with "Multifunction Printer etc..." written below). Follow the instructions, and once you're done, turn on your printer. And normally it should work, your printer should be recognized and ready to use ^^

    I hope I helped you, kisses.
