Hello,
I signed up for Parship a while ago. It all started when I went to the site Trombi.com, which supposedly allows you to reconnect with friends from your class.
I validated something and found myself signing up for a dating site when I thought it would help me find lost friends!
That said, my mailbox (Hotmail) is overflowing with emails from people who supposedly visited my profile.
I tried to unsubscribe from this site since I'm not interested in a dating club, but to no avail...!
Apparently, it's possible, but in reality, I haven't succeeded!
If anyone can give me a tip, thanks in advance!

Hi,
in my opinion, don't panic if you haven't paid for a subscription, go to "My Parship" then "My Data" then "Unsubscribe" and that's it

Hello,
It is possible to delete your profile at any time under "My PARSHIP", "My data", "Profile management", "Profile status" and by clicking "Delete your profile". You will need to enter your service password to confirm your request to delete your profile.
Deleting your profile automatically cancels the automatic renewal (this, however, depends on whether it was done at least 7 days before the end of the subscription, otherwise it will renew even if the profile has been deleted).
Best regards,
Julien (Customer Service)

Hello,
I do not recommend this site not because there are too few people to meet (that's not my case) but because the cancellation process is complicated and moreover, the customer service almost never confirms that the request has been made.
So I requested a cancellation, I didn’t pay attention to whether the confirmation had been sent, and as a result, after 6 months, I received a judicial collection letter.
The ways to stop the subscription: wait to change my credit card number (some advise paying the subscription by check), then wait for the judicial collection letter.
This is not normal!
I also want to point out that I was able to make "the" meeting, so does the site really need this kind of practice? It could easily ensure a good reputation.

Hello,
Besides the fact that PARSHIP won't let go of you online, this company does not hesitate to charge your credit card without informing you about 10 or 12 months after your registration.
At the end of the contract, a form is sent to you. If you let them know that you do not wish to receive anything from PARSHIP anymore, make it known... If not, do as I did, write to UFC Que Choisir, 60 million consumers, or even the DGCCRF depending on the nature of the dispute.

To protect yourself from any abuse, do not forget to mention in this email your PARSHIP identification number (made up of letters and/or numbers) and your service password, which you can find in "My Profile" / "My Data" / "Manage Your Profile".
Please note that all this information is also available during online payment, as well as in the terms and conditions, and in the order confirmation email, in our "Help/Contact" section, and in the reminder email sent to all our members one month before this renewal.

They are idiots, I canceled my subscription for the amount of 117 euros after a commercial gesture on their part. In August, during September, they charged me again 23.40 euros. I contacted customer service again, and they immediately took the necessary actions. Today, I received my bank statement, and it is November 30th, and Parship charged me 23.40 euros for no reason. They are useless; the site reflects the service.

Hello, I also changed my credit card for this reason, and I'm receiving a formal notice from France Créance!!!
I don't plan on going on the site (which I haven't visited for 2 years) to avoid them saying: "But sir, you have used our services, it's normal to pay."
Parship is the worst extortionist site, I wonder why they are not being prosecuted for fraud!!

Hello,
I confirm your experience, I went through roughly the same thing and I want to tell you that there are many others like it. Last year I took a 3-month subscription and at the end I wanted to cancel my registration:
Firstly: it was a real pain to find the little text/button on the site to cancel = so they don't make it easy for you to leave, quite the opposite, hoping that the automatic renewal date will come before you send your cancellation request.
Secondly: even though I managed to go through with the cancellation, a month later I received an email from Parship saying that the charge on my credit card had failed and that I needed to correct the error. This means that even when you cancel, confirmed by a receipt, Parship continues to suck your money. Luckily, I had used a temporary card number.
There you go, and above all, don’t let yourself be fooled by the commercial messages from this "thieving" company. When I think about the number of people who must have been scammed!!

Hello and thank you both for your tips,
I accidentally signed up, so this company does not have my credit card number or anything else. I haven't unsubscribed (I don't know how to do it, it doesn't work, they keep changing my username...) but I blocked the sender, that's all... and they leave me alone.
I didn't know it was a paid service, maybe that's why they leave me alone! I also hadn't filled out any form other than the initial one and they didn't ask me for a credit card number.
I hope they've removed me from their members' directory!!!
Good luck with your efforts
Best regards.

I'm experiencing the same problem. I started filling out the form, then changed my mind and didn’t finish it. Too late, I can't get rid of it; I'm inundated with emails that come from who knows where with absurd addresses. My profile is canceled, yet I still receive these emails day and night.
Parship tells me that these emails aren’t from them?? Yet I receive them from my contact on their site.....

Hello
I canceled my subscription on your website via email and following my refusal to pay my membership fee, access was restricted and I can't even verify that you have validated this cancellation.
I received a formal notice demanding that I pay for a subscription that I no longer use and do not wish to use anymore. This is forced selling and an abuse! I am informing you that I will respond to the so-called thieving bailiff and I will send a copy of this letter to the DGCCRF so that you stop your intimidation tactics!!

Most dating sites are simple to unsubscribe from, like le-beguin.fr where you go to your account, click on delete account, and that’s it. Have you checked your account settings? After that, addressing the site directly should normally be quite quick. Anyway, it’s better to avoid subscriptions...
Again. Now I have withdrawals on my credit card that are absolutely unacceptable because I am not the one who initiated this payment. I plan to do everything necessary to 1 cancel, 2 get reimbursed, 3 seek damages for this practice, and I intend to inform all internet users and others about the practices of Parship, shameful, even though I did not take precautions during the admission. The contract is not readable and poorly explained regarding payments.
I'm really in need of help. I am also a victim of Parship. After a month of subscription on the site, despite paying, the photos are blurred, and they suggest supposedly compatible profiles that live on the other side of the world and are also blurred. I've seen that the site does not satisfy me at all. I've had more contacts on Meetic without subscribing than on Parship while paying. I never found the button to unsubscribe or cancel. I therefore deleted the photos from my profile and no longer use this site. I paid with a temporary card. That was in November 2016, and now I’m receiving mail from a collection agency asking me for 734.-; I live in Switzerland. They give me 10 days to pay, otherwise I will incur significant fees. I'm disgusted by this kind of behavior. I also cannot afford to pay this bill, especially for a scam site that I no longer use. I tried calling the collection agency, but they never answer, and the fees keep increasing.
Please help me. How can I report these people? I am an honest person; I have never had debt in my life. I can't sleep at night. Can we file a collective complaint?
Has anyone harassed like me paid? These are thug methods, and I don't understand how, with all the testimonies I've read about this Parship scam on different sites, this site hasn’t been condemned. I really feel nauseous. I will turn to the consumer union, and if you do the same, our voices will have weight.

Good evening
I have the same issue. I wanted to cancel my account and they sent me an email saying it should have been done 12 weeks in advance.
They explained this in an email in a barely visible spot, and they do it on purpose to trap people. Normally, there should be an email for people to validate it like a contract. What they are doing is unfair.
Since they wrote to me like that, I blocked my card. Yesterday I received a bill of 470.- from a Swiss debt collection agency.
I will contact the cantonal police for advice.
I saw that there is someone at the top who made some ridiculous comments from Parship saying they are sorry for the inconvenience. A bunch of thieves.
