Unable to install office 2007

Hello,
I want to install the Office 2007 Pro pack.
When I try to install it from the CD, I get an error message:
d:\proplus.ww\osetup.dll cannot be loaded; this may indicate that the file is missing or damaged.
So I copied and pasted it onto my hard drive.
Still the same message when I try to install it with the setup.
Then I tried to do it file by file (e.g., ACCESMUI) and it tells me:
the installer cannot install one of the required products for Microsoft Office Access mui (French) 2007.
I have XP SP2 with Media Center Edition.
I think I've said everything, thanks in advance because I'm really struggling here.
Just so you know, I'm not a tech expert.

I had the same problem and I solved it; disable any antivirus and reinstall Office 2007. If the problem persists, try installing a new version of Windows Installer beforehand using the following link

Thank you very much. I was experiencing the same issue, and I managed to resolve it by disabling my antivirus and my firewall.
