How to find super mario switch ds

Hello,
I'm stuck on Super Mario on Nintendo DS in the castle because I'm being asked to find a switch but I can't find it. If you know where it is, please let me know. 
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

    Pour that the boxes marked with a "?" become visible, you must have at least 10 stars (I believe). Then, go to the hall.
    You will see a sun on the ground; if there is a white light above it, that's good.
    Go over it (with Mario) and look at the central staircase. Then look up. So what happens?
    A world opens up,
    and you will see a red switch.
    Activate it and all the boxes will become visible.

      Hello, you need not 10 stars but 12 to free Mario who is at the entrance with the door and the big star. Then press X and look straight at the light, and there you go.

    Hi !!!! Thanks for the explanation, Juliette. I'm just having a little problem; I have 44 stars, and when I go to the light, a voice says: << A voice comes from above... it says: "Hey... Mario..." >> and yet I am with Mario when I go towards the light. Do I need to have the first 10 stars by finishing each level one by one, or can I skip a few stars??? I'm really confused :'(

    rentré dans le château et aller dans la lumière, appuyer sur x, ça va soumer et utiliser les manettes pour regarder en haut et vous vous téléporter dans un monde. Mario aura des ailes, aller à la plateforme en dessous et monter sur l'interrupteur.
