Utorrent slow download Solved

Question

Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out to you a bit in despair of causes. I've been trying to configure Utorrent since yesterday.
I've spent hours reading forums, but ultimately I haven't found much, and no tutorials in French according to my searches.
So I still created a rule in my router: setting TCP to 16,000 and UDP to 16,500.
Then I put 16,500 in "the port used for incoming connections" in Utorrent. Max upload rate: 186.

But nothing works; I still hover between 20 and 50 kb for the download... While it's almost 100 for the upload.

What can I do? How can I be sure I've managed the ports correctly?

Thanks, if someone takes the time to reply to me. I'm feeling so desperate about computing... You feel so powerless. Anyway.

(I have a 2 meg connection with Orange. XP firewall disabled.)

Hi.  You need to download Utorrent version 1.7.7 in French. Do not change any settings except for setting the upload limit for each download to 25 kBps.

Thank you, I just set the show to 25, and oddly enough the reception went up to 100 :D Cool! A bit weird, this system, the less you share, the more you receive?  Anyway, thanks!

Hello, I'm a girl who doesn't know anything about computers and I would like some help please... I'm on Livebox under XP on a network with a speed of 54.0Mbit/s. I've opened my ports using a tutorial and I've done what was necessary; when I do the test, it says that my ports are open, but I download at a maximum of 100ko/s, and that's quite rare; on average, it's 40 or 50ko/s. On the other hand, when I see some people downloading at 700 or 800ko/s, I think that's not normal. Could someone help me please? I don't know what to do, thank you very much. Kisses.

I finally managed to get uTorrent in French, but I don't understand why it's so slow when I'm downloading a movie? I have Bell's high-speed service, that's all I know. To be honest, I don't know much about it, so if you can help me.........thanks.

I forgot to mention, make sure your ports are properly open, it's also a very important factor for optimal download speed, but sometimes there's nothing you can do if there are few sources or if people are not seeding... and yes, that's how P2P works!

I don't know much about computers (just the basics), and I just downloaded Azureus, but the download speed is very slow, meaning 10kb/s (I can download a very large file in 13 days, which is unlucky...). I'm using a Livebox and I would like to solve this problem. Thank you

go to Optionx\Preference then in "bitorrent" set outgoing "forced" then in "connection" set "randomize port each start"...  it should feel really weird when you go to 150Ko instead of 15Ko/s ;o)

My average is 5 kb/second, what's the problem? I haven't changed any settings, but I don't know anything about Utorrent.
