Hello,
I am looking for the driver for my Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (PHY: Realtek RTL8211/8212) PCI. I went to the Realtek website but could not find any drivers.

Another question, I need to install the SM Bus controller in my device manager, but I don't know what it is.

Hi jpsurfer,

You won't find anything on the Realtek website.
You need to look on the website of your PC manufacturer or your motherboard if your PC isn't a branded one.
And if the driver doesn't appear there, it's probably because it's included in the motherboard chipset driver.
In that case, you need to reinstall the chipset driver.

The best thing is to format your PC and reinstall it, and then go to the performance manager and you'll see if it's installed because I had the same problem. Thank you to the one who pointed me to the right site to download the Realtek driver for my Vista setup.
Indeed, after quite a bit of hassle, I managed to install this "all in one" driver, which includes the 8100 series and quite a few others, making it suitable for many network cards and Windows operating systems (Vista, XP, 2000, ...).

I’m providing the name of the file which you can easily find on Google by copy/pasting. For more info, you can always reach me at my email.
I noticed that you have to first launch the installation via the Setup file, and then connect your Box directly to your PC to establish an internet connection. After that, you can plug in as many CPL boxes as you want.
Here is the name of the file:
