Hello Eric, I bought one and it works well. It just takes a little time for it to connect with the satellites because of my heat-insulating windshield. See you!

Useful information following your requests: The V3 is practically the same as the V4e except that the V4e does not need an antenna for thermal windshields. To download the updates: download software version 3.6 from www.gpsinforad.com WARNING DO NOT CONNECT THE V3 OR V4e BEFORE THE SOFTWARE IS INSTALLED. I bought the V4e with Inforad Manager 3.6 under Vita. I haven't encountered any issues. It's just a pity that the V4e doesn't have enough memory to include all the countries. So you have to select the countries before leaving (well, in 98% of cases, France is enough!!). Negative points in my opinion: long synchronization time and you can't change the type of beep for a fixed or mobile radar. You have to look at the color of the LEDs...

Update inforad v 4. Go to the search engine. Type in inforad manager 3.6 then click on download (inforad manager inforad gps drivers inforad.com). The inforad table appears and follow the screen
go to download and scroll down to v 4 then go to inforad 3.6 (all versions inforad) then click on F T P download. Open I F M 36setup.exe. Save the file (yes) then in blue download I F M 36 setup (2) exe 3.1 mb gps inforad.com, click on it several times insisting or with the keyboard enter. Once opened in blue open an executable file (yes) appears then on the screen
this assistant will install inforad manager do you want to continue (yes). Be careful not to connect inforad v4 to the computer right away wait for the instructions on the screen and follow the indications from inforad.

The update on a V4 after installing their version 3.6 does NOT work (at least on Windows XP) since mid-April 2009 at the earliest. Customer service states that there is a software problem (bug). Since then, nothing new, still no updates possible... Product to avoid as long as these issues remain unresolved and it seems like it won't be quick... Before this update issue, it was functioning fine. Very long acquisition time, and sometimes there is no acquisition at all (even outdoors!), having to unplug it for a new acquisition... Once the acquisition is made, no more problems. A few false alerts in the speed traps (one on the highway near Perpignan...) and rare unreported speed traps, especially abroad (Spain). A strong point is the possibility of directional reporting.

Hello,
I've been in a conflict with Inforad for my 2 V3s for 10 days. Immediately after the update, both stopped recognizing satellites.
Inforad is offering me to buy back a V3 (€25) or a V4e (€49)!!!!!
The problem comes from them, I refuse to pay for this exchange.

I believe that this commercial policy deserves nothing but disinterest in their products.

If you're having detection problems with Inforad V4e on Windows 7 or Vista, try downloading this:

It worked right away for me.

Against: Really long, unable to tell the difference between rear radars and normal ones, satellite bug, bug during updates, sound is weak or even inaudible when driving with the window open on the highway...

Good thing its price isn't exorbitant... well I asked for a refund after 3 weeks ^^
