Cobian backup

Hello,

I use Cobian Backup to schedule backups.
It performs them locally, on a designated partition, and there are no issues there.
It performs them to a remote PC, and there, certain folders are systematically not backed up with the message
unable to create the destination directory followed by the path of the directory that should have been created.
If anyone can help me, if there's something specific to do for backups to remote PCs...
Thank you
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.12

Hello,

by default the Cobian service is installed using a local account, you just need to switch it to a network account or an administrator account for the backup on a remote workstation to work properly.

hoping this can help someone.

Thanks for the 2-hour boost I was looking for in vain... ps: for me, I set Administrator as the server password and the domain to .local so that it would work.

I approve Vad's solution; using the Cobian Backup 11 service under the local user Administrator allows writing backups to a remote drive without any issues.
For your information, I had the following error message:
Unable to create the destination directory "\\192.168.1.XXX\Folder\Destination\": The syntax of the file name, directory, or volume is incorrect.

If you don't have a server, it is possible to manage the backup on another workstation by using the same users and passwords on both workstations.

Thank you for the link, but the tutorial is missing ;-) apparently it's dead.
