SIEMENS phone, I can’t hear my interlocutor anymore.

Hello, I bought a SIEMENS Gigaset S645 phone (base + 2 handsets) some time ago; for a while now, when I call or answer, I can't hear the person on the other end although they can hear me fine; I've noticed that, however, if I activate the "hands-free" button, I can hear them well; what can I do to listen to my interlocutor by simply putting my handset to my ear without activating the "hands-free" button? Thank you very much for your help and have a great day to the whole "how it works" team.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello,

Same problem but solved thanks to Siemens.

You just need to tap the top of your phone, near the speaker, and the sound should come back. It's a membrane issue. Repeat this as many times as necessary; for me, it only took 2 times.

I had the same problem for several weeks, thank you Jean-Louis, 3 claps of the hands and it's fixed!

Same problem with the Gigaset C455, but tapping the handset in your hand as indicated doesn’t work. I’ve also reset both the base and the handset, but to no avail.
What other solution is there?? Thanks in advance!

Same problem as Hug for a few days (but with a c455 from 2005), I followed the procedure from jeanlouis (thank you!) that is to tap 3 to 4 times on the top of the handset near the speaker: the sound came back, great!
(apparently a loose connection with the circuit board, as the speaker may not be soldered -wires- but only in contact pressed against the casing of the handset, like an old-fashioned flashlight bulb)
