Hello,
I have a BlackBerry 8320, but I do not have the French language installed. I don’t know how to do it, to add French to the list of languages: my whole menu is in English.
Also, I would like to install Excel too.... if someone can come to my aid.... Please

To add a language that does not exist on your device, you need to:
- connect your device to a PC using the USB cable provided with your device
- install "blackberry desktop software" on the PC (available on a disk provided with your device or free on the RIM - blackberry website)
- start the "blackberry desktop software" application on the PC
- it should normally recognize your device
ON THE PC
- go to the "applications" menu in the left sidebar
- then look for "French support" or the language of your choice
- click on the small cross on the far left (action column)
- the status column changes to "installation pending"
- then click the "apply" button at the bottom right
- a small progress bar appears in a window
- at the end your device will restart and ...
for a BB Bold, ON THE DEVICE
- go to the "settings" menu
- then to the "Setup Wizard" menu
- then to the "Language" menu and choose the language from the drop-down menus for 1. the display of menus and 2. for typing input.
- exit the setup wizard
... you're done
Note:
You can install other applications using "blackberry desktop software" such as:
- the notepad or tasks (response to sg) -

For my part, the easiest way is to go to the BlackBerry site and update the OS on your BlackBerry. With that, language support is definitely available and you can choose the languages you want to install on your BlackBerry afterwards.
With that, it works; I have the update on my 8100 and since then I have access to the languages I want. -
Hi, for my part, I updated my Desktop Manager https://www.blackberry.com/fr/fr.

I downloaded the latest update for my BlackBerry 8520 Curve, but upon restart, the device is in English. No matter what I do, when I go to applications, I can see the French language, but I can't apply it at the bottom of the screen :( :( :(
Has anyone encountered this same problem?
I've been searching the internet for several hours and can't find anything.
Thank you in advance.

Good evening,
my son sent me a BB 8320 from the United States, and I can't unlock it here in Cameroon.
I am subscribed to Orange and I live in Douala, Cameroon.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

I have the answer. You need to go to Desktop Manager on your computer and go to Application Loader and Software Update. Choose the software from the list and click, then select French.

I have a big problem with my BlackBerry 8120
like you, I don't have French, it is only two weeks old, a guy from eBay sold it to me and he erased the French language because he doesn't serve
I reset my phone two or three times and it still doesn't work, I don't understand and it annoys me, SOS if you can help me, thank you
kind regards, Lucie -
SORRY I'M TRYING TO DOWNLOAD THE DRIVERS ON BLACKBERRY'S OFFICIAL SITE AS WELL
HOWEVER, YOU SHOULD HAVE IT ON YOUR INSTALL CD AND IF YOU RESET YOUR 8320 YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO CHANGE THE LANGUAGE
P.S. IF YOU KNOW A SOLUTION WHEN WE HAVE A MINI PC AND NO READER LET ME KNOW
BYE
