Installation issues with Sims 2: Nightlife

HELP !!!
I've been looking for a solution to my problem on this site for an hour and I can't find anything at all...
I'm trying to install The Sims 2: Nightlife, I start the installation, everything works great, then I'm asked to insert disk 2, I insert it, and then nothing happens, it gets stuck at 57% and it can last for hours. However, the computer does detect the CD, when I eject it, a message immediately appears asking me to insert disk 2. I can't make sense of it! By the way, I'm trying to install it on my laptop, which might be important, I don't know, but it frustrates me.
Anyway, if someone can help me, that would be awesome!

PS: I have the same problem when I try to install The Sims 2: University except this time it gets stuck at 78% (I think), always when it's time to put in disk 2!
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.11

    Here’s what I found on this very site ;) I hope it’s indeed your problem.

    “Bug during installation:
    Yes, it’s me again! I hope to make a few people happy because I found the SOLUTION,
    it’s really simple and easy to do, at a certain point the installation gets stuck because there’s an error
    with a file, before clicking retry, you need to go to start (right-click) > explorer >
    program files > eagames > and there, you look for the file that troubles you, so for example if it’s:
    TSData\Res\Sims3D\Sims13.package like I can't remember who, you go to TSDATA > Res > Sims3D > sims13.package,
    you right-click on it and click on properties, there you check: read-only and you
    click on retry for your installation, it should work normally, the problem may come back with another
    file, it’s the same as the first one! I’m really too happy!”

    I'm really in need of the installation code for The Sims 2 "Happy Holidays"
    I've lost the box, but I can't seem to find it anywhere!! I've been searching all over!!

    I did this, but the little bug is that the file isn't there... =S The installation gets stuck at 57%... Because of TSData\Control/Control1 ... But there is only control01... Not the 1...

    Actually, I just had to remove Alcohol & Daemon tools... And there you go.. XD

    I have a problem
    actually when I want to install The Sims 2: Nightlife, it installs up to 65% and then it tells me there is a problem with the file TSData/Res/Sound/oldies.package'.
    Can you help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    As I already said, remove Daemon Tools (or Alcohol)... And if you don't have either (or any other software that uses virtual disks) I can't help you...

    Hello!

    I'm quite impressed by your call for help because I had exactly the same problem as you! At 57 percent, it tells you to insert disc 2, well it's quite simple: in your "nights de folie" case, you have a small black EA Games pouch with an orange disc 2 inside! You take out the purple one (disc 1) and insert the orange one (disc 2)! There you go!

    See, you always need to look carefully in the case :D

    I genuinely wish you good luck =) I have a problem; I downloaded the Insimenator and need to install it in the downloads folder... But there's none!!! =s So I'm really bummed; if someone could help me... That would be great... Good luck again!!

      Lol, you simply create it, and without mistakes, downloads with an "s." (I can't remember if it needs a capital letter or not, you can try both)

      I'm responding more than a year later, your problem is probably no longer relevant, but if it can help someone else.. ^^
