PC that makes a lot of noise at startup.

Question

Good evening, it's been a week since my PC makes a lot of noise from the start and it lasts for 5 minutes. It sounds like a plane taking off. I've cleaned everything inside but it doesn't help, so do you have any idea about my little problem? It's stressful ^^.

If it's a fan problem, the noise will continue after starting. If it's a drive problem, the noise stops after starting.

You must have a fan that isn't working - disassemble the casing and see if all the fans are turning. I had one that was faulty and it made the same noise

Hello ! Often the problem comes from the CD (or DVD) drive. At startup, Windows tests the devices, so it runs the drive. Advice: take a look at the screws and tighten the screws that hold the drives.

I set "do not test the drives on startup" but nothing works. The question I have is why is it doing this to me? I've never had a problem before??? But how do I know which fans I have? I've got a bunch of them ^^.

I gave you the solution, I first turned off the PC (lol, it's better that way), then I took off the casing, turned the PC back on, and there I checked if the 3 fans that I had were spinning correctly.

OMG yes I will try (sorry I didn't see the first post) well as they say "see you later". I'll keep you updated.

However, it only happens when I start it for the first time of the day, for example if I reboot several times or leave it off for 3 hours it doesn't happen, but if I turn it on the next day boom it starts again.

If the noise continues after starting, check if the PC is properly on all four feet! It's silly, but it's like washing machines or a fridge; if it's unsteady, it makes noise!
