vertical white bar on screen Solved

Question

Hello,

I need assistance. A vertical white bar has appeared on the screen of my Toshiba Satellite M60-103, unexpectedly.
The graphics card is not to blame because when I connect it via VGA to my TV, the white bar does not appear. This morning it disappeared for about 30 minutes then reappeared. This bar is approximately 10 cm wide and goes from the top to the bottom of the screen. When I turn on my PC, the bar takes about 15 seconds to appear, so it shows up before Windows starts. I really need your help; I have never opened a PC in my life, and right now, I am a bit too short on funds to afford expensive repairs on the PC. Thank you in advance.

I have a Packard Bell Easy Note C3300 laptop
Recently, I have a 1-pixel red line that goes from the top to the bottom of my screen
Sometimes it turns blue 0_O
And when I press on the top of this line (on the cover of the screen), it disappears.
It reappears once the pressure is released.
So I put a clothespin on it and it’s fine but quite ugly :P
Do you have a solution?
Change the screen?
Open the screen cover to see if everything is in order?

Unfortunately, this strongly resembles a hardware failure of the screen.
I had one like that in my hands, and by pressing the edges of the screen, we were able to restore normal display. Its owner eventually ended up using it permanently connected to an external monitor and bought another laptop.

Thank you for your response gentleM. However, my screen does not respond when I press on the sides, although sometimes the display reappears correctly on its own. I ultimately opted for the purchase of a 20-inch Samsung monitor... A real pleasure. The problem is that I was planning to sell my laptop to partly finance the purchase of a new device, but as it is, it can't be worth much, even though the configuration is quite satisfactory...

I still mustered up my courage and turned on my PC as well as the monitor. The cable is perfectly connected. I checked the model number of the monitor to see if I could find it in spare parts online, but it remains undetectable. If anyone knows a website specialized in this kind of parts, please let me know.

Hello, can someone help me? My computer screen has white bars scrolling from bottom to top; it doesn’t happen all the time, but at least 3/4 of the time. I'm afraid my screen is about to fail on me?? Please give me a response.
P.S.: My screen is only 2 and a half years old, but I spend a lot of time on the computer.

Here it is ;D ; I've read all your comments...

My brand new PC (no more than a month old) pulled the same trick on me when I took it out one sunny day on my terrace!
Since then, it does it every time... (hold on tight!) ... when it sees the sun!
It must be allergic to it :P

The problem never lasts long (let's hope it stays that way); and I realized that just restarting it was enough...

Thank you for your comments and ideas. Try pressing behind the screen in several places along the line; it worked for me, maybe a bad connection?
