PC controller on PS3

Question

Hello,

I would like to know if I can use my PC controller (it's an Xbox 360 controller for PC with USB port) on a PS3 by downloading the drivers. So far, I've tried using the installation CD, but it didn't work.

It is possible to use a PC controller on PS3. I took a PC controller that I use and tried to connect it to PS3, and it worked well!!

If I may, you have to be quite an idiot to want to use an Xbox controller on a PS3... are we going to be asked to play with an NES controller someday too?

Well, I was actually looking to see if that was possible because I bought a controller with an Xbox design but for computer because it was really cheap and besides, I even managed to play with it on a 360 knowing that it was cheaper than the one sold for the console.

So I come across this discussion that’s a year old but once again we notice that there are really some idiots who are full of it lol

First of all, the configuration of the Xbox controller is far from being the most ergonomic; the undeniable proof is that the ergonomics of the Sony controller have been successful everywhere, period.

Then for the other idiots who responded with things like "you must be really stupid to want to play on a PS3 with an Xbox controller," if only that big bulbous mollusk had asked himself "what if he didn't buy an Xbox controller for 360 but for PC?"... Which is not the same price ;)

So it remains a USB port, so it must be certainly doable in terms of drivers and patches; I’ll have to look into it a bit more.
