Hello,
I have written to laposte.net 5 or 6 times to report an error in my inbox (total absence of fields allowing email management) with no response, and now I am being overwhelmed by messages in English that do not interest me and that I could previously mark as spam! I’ve had enough and am trying (in vain) to close this inbox! But how do I do it? I haven’t found the instructions anywhere! Thank you.

After logging in, click on "Assistance" then the section "My registration" and finally "How to cancel a mailbox?".
I quote the text on this page:
"laposte.net offers you the possibility to directly cancel your email mailbox online.
To initiate the cancellation procedure for your mailbox, click here: CANCELLATION PROCEDURE (link: https://compte.laposte.net/nous-ecrire/index.do ).
If you decide to cancel your @laposte.net email mailbox, it will be automatically and permanently deleted within 30 days following your cancellation request.
During this 30-day period, your mailbox remains normally accessible.
This 30-day period allows you to interrupt the cancellation process initiated and to recover your email address mistakenly cancelled.
Warning!
The deletion of a mailbox also leads to the deletion of any aliases linked to it.
We also remind you, and this applies to aliases as well, that a deleted email address cannot be recreated before a period of one year following its deletion date."
You just need to specify a reason for this cancellation, then, if you wish, submit the address of another email box to receive a cancellation email. You confirm one last time your cancellation and voilà, the request is made.
Your mailbox will be deleted within 30 days.

I had read somewhere that a @laposte.net email address is a lifetime address!
I am surprised that one has to cancel by mail, including mentioning one’s password as well as the security question and its registered answer?
My @laposte.net mailbox receives spam messages that I don’t want to receive elsewhere, particularly at my @orange.fr address.
For your information, one can have their @laposte.net address in a different form than jean.dupond@laposte.net, by replacing "jean.dupond" with a nickname, which is my case, and that preserves my privacy.

To delete your email address, you must provide another email address, your password, in short, everything that should not be mentioned: this is a case of the comedy of informatics or social communism...

To cancel your laposte.net account, it's very simple. Go to the homepage, scroll down to click on help, then on my subscription, and finally on how to cancel my account. It takes one month for the account to be completely closed.
