Hello,
Despite my research, I have not found the specific question I am asking below.
In the directory
windows/pchealth/ErrorRep/UserDumps, I have over 4 Gigabytes of svchost......hdmp and svchost.......mdmp files.
I would like to know if I can safely delete these files?
Thank you in advance for your help.
ElisabethConfiguration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.

These files are error "dumps," and the .mdmp files are the compacted versions that are sometimes sent to Windows for error reports. Apparently, I see no reason to keep them if they take up space.
These files are useless; they only serve Microsoft developers to analyze problems during application crashes... See the source below for details;

Hi,
I know that every time an error occurs, a dump file is created in: C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\ERRORREP\UserDumps
For example:
svchost.exe.20070524-063345-00.mdmp (0 bytes)
or
svchost.exe.20070523-064303-00.hdmp (up to 100 MB)
I would like to know if we can delete them as well, and if so, how.
Thanks!
