Hello,

I have an HP Pavilion Entertainment Centrino Duo laptop running Windows Vista. My problem is that the screen strains my eyes even when it's set at 60Hz. It's impossible to play on it. Additionally, after reading other topics, I found out I can't adjust it using the fn + arrow keys. Thank you for any help provided!
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

    Hello everyone,
This morning, I turned on my laptop (MSI S 271): the brightness is particularly low. It's so low that I can hardly see anything. Since I downloaded quite a few software yesterday afternoon, I thought I might have caught a virus (at one point, the non-Win 32 compatible software message appeared). However, until last night, the brightness was normal. This morning, I still scanned the computer with Windows Defender to see if there was a virus: negative response. Of course, I took a look in the control panel and set the brightness to maximum: it didn't change anything!
If you have a solution, feel free to let me know! I’m all ears. Antoine.

Hello, you can go to the control panel and in the top right corner in the search tab, type "brightness" and from there it will offer you to adjust your screen brightness.

Try PowerStrip, it works very well. You can adjust the brightness, gamma, and so on anywhere and anytime with simple keyboard shortcuts; it's worth trying.

    Hello

it's not Windows Defender that will tell you if you're infected, you need to run a scan with an antivirus and an anti-malware, then you'll see more clearly

    see you later
