I lost my password on Vista. Solved/Closed

Question

Hello, this weekend a friend had fun putting a password to open my session on Vista, the next day he forgot it and now my computer is blocked. I don’t know what to do, I can’t access my computer because we can’t find the code. Thank you for your replies.

Hello.

Start in safe mode and choose the administrator account.

When you're under Vista, go to user management and remove or change the password that is blocking access to your session.

1) Oph crack does not work on Vista.
2) The administrator account on Vista is disabled by default; we can try to enable it by accessing a DOS command, but I don't see how to access DOS if we can't log in...
3) Vista is much more secure than XP, so I don't see how to proceed

I couldn't change my password because, as I said, I couldn't remember it. In order to change the password, you need to enter the "old password." But I solved my problem: I went to user accounts, created a new administrator account. From there, I assigned a password to that account. I logged out and logged into the new one. Then, I went to the control panel, user accounts. I managed my account for which I had lost the password and clicked on "remove password." Then, I assigned a new one. At that point, my problem was solved.

Heu Gargamel, that's all well and good, but the admin account is not enabled by default under Vista, so even in safe mode, there is no admin account present...

No assistance can be provided to recover a password. The requester may be acting in good faith (and their good faith is unproven) but the solutions offered can then be misused for hacking!

So:
- cultivate your memory,
- ask the administrator,
- avoid certain manipulations in the future
- be vigilant with the keyboard (check uppercase and lowercase)
