I couldn't change my password because, as I said, I couldn't remember it. In order to change the password, you need to enter the "old password." But I solved my problem: I went to user accounts, created a new administrator account. From there, I assigned a password to that account. I logged out and logged into the new one. Then, I went to the control panel, user accounts. I managed my account for which I had lost the password and clicked on "remove password." Then, I assigned a new one. At that point, my problem was solved.
