Hello,
I have an HP ProBook and I can no longer adjust the brightness of the screen even with the shortcut keys. Can you please help me? Thank you for your quick response.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 9.0

    hi

    you need to press FN+F10

I'm also attaching the link to the manual where I found the answer (page 46)

download it on your PC, it's free

Your link on page 46 doesn't show me the procedure to follow for the download, and FN+F10 doesn't display anything on my screen.

    ok

    tell me if I'm dreaming!!!

    HP ProBook User Manual

    Decrease the screen brightness
Press fn+f9 to decrease the screen brightness. To decrease it gradually, hold
    these keys down.
    Increase the screen brightness
Press fn+f10 to increase the screen brightness. To increase it gradually,
    hold these keys down.

And you can "save as" when you go to the bottom right

You have a table that appears (you can enlarge, reduce, save as, and print)

    Best regards

No, you're not dreaming!! Lol, thank you for taking care of my computer problem

Well, the thing is, even with the shortcut keys it doesn't work on mine, it's FN+F2 to lower the screen brightness and FN+F3 to increase the screen brightness. But nothing happens when I do that

Plus, when I go to <control panel><power options> and in the left pane there is <change when the computer sleeps>, before when I clicked on it there was a slider I could move for the screen brightness, now it's gone
Do you have an explanation?? Thank you

    You may have changed something?

Don't you have a yellow ? in your devices?

Do you have the exact reference of your PC

    Best regards

No, I just checked in the "Device Manager" but fortunately everything is working. Exact reference of my PC

    HP ProBook 4730s
    2.30 GHz Intel Core i5
    4.00 GB of RAM

If you have another lead, let me know please.

      Hello anthony2312
I had the same problem and after 15 minutes spent with the encrypted Chinese HP hotline (15c€/min nonetheless), they sent me this link for the HP update, and it works correctly again (for a ProBook 6560b 64-bit). I hope this helps others... good luck
