Hi
I have two problems with my PSP Slim and Lite:
- The start button doesn’t work anymore; to use it, I have to put it on hold and take it off, and then it registers start
- When I’m in a game and I press home, the screen shows up but the cursor on yes or no doesn’t blink and it’s unusable; I have to put my PSP on hold and take it off for the cursor to blink and then I can use it
If someone could help me please

If your buttons are not working or not working well, you can change the flex cables, or even the buttons themselves. I had a problem with the home button and I changed everything, and now it works; this way I was able to change the color of the buttons too ;o). However, if your PSP is under warranty, it’s better not to open the PSP because you will lose the warranty.
If you are looking for buttons in different colors or flex cables, I bought them on this site http://www.buzzygame.fr that I found in another post. See you later!-
Hi, I went to the website and I would like to know: if I buy the contact ribbon buttons kit for PSP Slim + complete shell, will the problem be resolved?

I have the same problem, put me those 4 buttons that don't work
the 4 at the bottom: start, select, the sound, and the screen
I don't know how to fix it. -
I understood the problem, the start button is stuck and therefore blocked. That's why I explained the thing with hold. I will try to dismantle the PSP.

HELLO. Anyone having issues with the buttons on the PSP home..start..select or the volume just needs to replace the button ribbon located just below the screen casing which is easily removable. You just have to purchase it on this site http://www.assentek.com/catalog/index.php/cPath/96_120 it’s called: Replacement ribbon contact for start, select, volume buttons... check the video on YouTube on how to easily disassemble a PSP here

Hi
Your console is new? Maybe a manufacturing defect. -
Well, it must be about 1 or 2 months since I got it, and it worked very well.
Do you think I should change the button palette for start, home, volume, etc...? -

I have a silver PSP that I bought a year ago...
Six months ago, I spilled water on it and now the up, down, left, right, square, triangle buttons and the analog stick
no longer work
Please, if anyone knows the solution, reply to me
Thank you for your help -
Hi everyone,
A friend of mine has a white fat PSP (which is no longer under warranty) and also has problems with the buttons!!!
Almost NO buttons work in games (only the HOME button brings up the menu to exit the game but we can't change choices (yes and no))
In the PSP menu (XBM) it's the opposite, all the buttons work except HOME.
So, does anyone have a solution?
PS: he played a bit in the rain, could that be the reason? (I should specify that the PSP in question is running 3.80 official)
My PSP is on 3.90M33, I'm mentioning this because we could make use of it.
Please respond to me because my friend is a serious gamer and he wants to play more!! -
I also have this problem!!! The home button doesn't work anymore, the screen button only works after being held and then switched back to normal mode! I also have a GoCam but when I press the triangle button to change the options (quality, brightness, etc.), I can't access it because it reacts like the home button should, whereas this problem didn't exist before! The triangle button works perfectly with the other features (video, music, photo)! I'm hesitant to take it apart.

Here’s what I explained in the message above because I had the same problem; the start button didn’t work anymore on the PSP. I changed the button ribbon by disassembling my PSP, and it's very simple. Watch the video on YouTube by typing PSP TV on YouTube. For anyone who didn’t understand, leave me a message. Alright, see you later.

Hello everyone,
I have the same problem as you, did you manage to solve it? -
it might not be worth dismantling it...
I also have another problem, the screen turns off by itself and is impossible to turn back on with the button!!! I have to take out the battery!!! -

The novelty of the "Tuche" brightness and sound buttons allows me to access a mini menu during the game, offering me the option to exit. Surprising, isn't it?

My PSP is broken and all the buttons are in perfect condition, if anyone wants parts let me know ;)

Hello, I would like someone to inform me about the key verification program for my PSP Carla (PSP 1000 M33 firmware version 5.0) as it freezes every time I press the menu button and I have to restart it. Moreover, the brightness and volume buttons act as the home button every 10 seconds while playing, not to mention that the home button itself doesn't work because I can't go back to the main menu when I'm playing music as it sometimes skips artists on its own. Please, I would like someone to tell me what to do.

hello, I had the same problem, you need to change the button ribbon cable located under the screen cover, which comes off easily. It's called exactly: Replacement contact ribbon for start, select, volume buttons... for:
5.90€
go buy it on this site: http://www.assentek.com/catalog/index.php/cPath/96_120
if you don't know how to disassemble your PSP, watch this video, it's very simple, there are only six screws to remove. here, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OtL7ZaRZsE
