length of the Ethernet cable TV Livebox Solved

Hello,
The cable provided with the Orange TV decoder via the Livebox is too short to reach the TV in another room,
I would like to know the reference and model of it to buy another one. For now, I can't afford to buy the Liveplug

You go to the store and you get a cable of the right length (count around 1 euro per meter) from 1 to 10 meters in general, or you ask for a custom cable suited to your needs
Easy, with CAT5 cable the maximum length is 100 meters, big house or what LOL

Go to AUCHAN, CAREFOUR, they have everything from 3 meters to 15 meters. You get UTP cat 5e - It's indicated on it.  It's the bomb, baby.

I bought a 20-meter Cat 5 UTP cable from Pearl (total garbage, first class) and I'm no longer receiving HD channels!!!

Before, I was using 2 cables, one 10 meters and one 5 meters, connected together in the middle of the path by a hub, and it worked.

I just wanted to make it look neat!!!!

Is the 20 meters the problem? Or is it the quality of Pearl?????

Would I have better luck with a 15-meter cable?????

you just need to cut your cable, run a regular telephone wire to the desired length, and then neatly connect the cut wires at each end. the same connection on each side, of course!!

I think that since the date of your question you have found a solution, if not on my side I am considering changing my connection from my Livebox to my UHB 86 decoder by removing my liveplugs (2 HD+ liveplugs) that date back to 16:10:2010 and directly connecting a fifteen-meter straight RJ45 cable.

Hello everyone,  After several tests, you should not consider a cable longer than 15 meters to connect the TV decoder to the Livebox. Category 6 shielded connector, nothing changes. 15 meters max.
