A new update for the ISD91 TNTSAT is currently available.
The terminal update via download is MANDATORY.
However, you need to reset to factory settings to allow this download.
Otherwise, if you have searched for the free channels from Astra, the ISD91 TNTSAT will not detect the online download.
To do this, you need to:
- Press the MENU button on the remote control
- Select the TERMINAL INSTALLATION icon (toolbox) displayed on the screen (up arrow or down arrow button)
- Confirm by pressing OK
- Select INITIAL CONFIGURATION RESET (up arrow or down arrow button)
- Enter your code (the one created during the initial installation) and confirm by pressing OK
- Confirm the reset by pressing OK
- Wait for the reset process to complete (going into standby and coming out of standby)
- You will then proceed to initial installation, which means channel search, choosing the regional France3, and creating the parental code.
- The video will appear
- Enter standby mode again
- Exit standby
- Choose the following option among the 3: download NOW
In case of difficulty or doubt, call the SAGEM FRANCE HOTLINE: 0892 230 425

I just acquired a Sagen ISD 91 HD
on a Philips Ambilight 100 Hertz Full HD screen
without any problems........
except that I receive 222 channels but not France 2 and France 3.... however, I do receive France 3 Alsace.... as well as France 5, Arte, etc., etc., etc.

I recently found the solution to the problem, despite several letters and calls to Sagem and Philips. On my side, I have nothing to complain about Sagem, but Philips was far from playing along and made me feel like a fool multiple times. Until the day I received an email from them, stating that their technician had confirmed this malfunction. The problem has the code (code SSC 65585). You have 2 solutions to this remedy: return it to where you bought it, but the service time varies from about 3 to 6 weeks in stores, or you can call Philips who will provide you with an authorized Philips agent who can fix your TV, time frame about 1 week.
If you want confirmation of what I'm telling you, I can provide you with a copy of the email. Good luck, see you soon!

I just contacted Sagem at the number 0170480483. Very friendly service, new update completed, should come these days. The parental codes 0000 or 1234 no longer work, so it’s impossible to make changes in cases where these codes have been used. Type the code 0044 for ISD91 and then enter a new code, it works!!!!!!!!!!

I bought a Sagem ISD 74 and I receive all the channels except France 2, France 3, Gulli, and Canal+. The screen displays "you have no rights on the audio and video." What to do? Does anyone have a solution?
We have a Sagem ISD 74 decoder for a 78-year-old grandpa since early November 2007. After a small hassle with the initialization resolved by Leroy Merlin, the device was working wonderfully. The only downside is that it is said that the card is activated for 20 days and that you need to connect to the internet at tntsat-tv or call a number 08... There is no way to register on the website, and the phone line is always busy. As a result, the decoder suddenly got blocked.... Who could indicate how to register as Leroy Merlin doesn't know either, and grandpa is in distress.... Thank you for responding.

IF A DEVICE MUST BE SENT BACK OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY FOR AN UPDATE ISSUE, THE SERVICE MUST BE FREE OF CHARGE........" SAGEM says "NOT NORMAL". The customer service where I took my device tells me "very well-known problem, we've received dozens owing to updates"??????.

the only way is the initial configuration and only scan tnt 1 to 57 and then it's fine without scanning astra

I completely agree, CANAL definitely has an interest in offering outdated equipment and making it glitch excessively, in order to attract disappointed customers towards their subscriptions with --coincidentally-- equipment that doesn't glitch and is more modern!!!

I just noticed that this morning at 6:30 the issue is resolved, everything seems fine (france 2 and gulli).
Finally, I received an update for my ISD91 decoder. I loaded it yesterday via satellite
and there has been no reboot since the device has been working all day without any unexpected restarts
let's keep our fingers crossed, maybe it will work...........

Indeed, version 2.1.0 fixes these issues with unexpected sleep mode.
If you haven't received a message prompting this download, a forced download is necessary.
When waking up, when the decoder displays 8888, you need to press OK then MENU, and the download will start!
In particular, if your software is earlier than 1.9.9, it's quite imperative!

I just upgraded from version 1.9.8 to version 3.04b without any issues. However, when initializing the device after waking it up, I received a message asking me to accept the update (it was on February 14). I completed it without reverting to the initial configuration (I had also installed channels other than those from TNT), contrary to what some messages suggested doing. Moreover, skipping a few intermediate updates seems to have no consequence.
The entire process took a few minutes during which the display appeared to count down to 100!

I’ve lost almost a year of (free) subscription. But finally, a new update with no major issues on Saturday the 14th when turning on the demo.
Today, I accidentally discovered HD channels.
Starting from number 50.
But my favorites have disappeared, so I started reprogramming everything.
It works, but I've lost TV 5 Monde Europe, M6 Boutique, etc.
Have others experienced the same losses?
Is there a solution?
Apparently my satellite dish is well aligned since the signal level is full green!???

I should mention that everything is connected to a hi-fi system, and I even tried using a 2.1 setup and it's the same. However, when I use the SCART connection, nothing happens. Yes, let's talk about the latest update for the isd91, it crashes the device, resulting in the HDMI outputs being active every time the device comes out of standby mode, which means that if you are on the SCART input, you have no picture, and there's nothing to be done; every time we restart it, it goes back to having the HDMI outputs activated.
The result is that we have to wait for another update to fix the problem, but when? In a month, two months????

If your ISD 91 is working properly without this update, it’s better to leave it aside for now, as it causes the device to glitch with "HD outputs activated at every startup" as described above.
If you are connected via HDMI, you can do it, but if you are using the SCART, it's not recommended; it's up to you.

?????? Your story is strange; normally the card should be activated for 4 years, until 2012. I have two devices, an ISD 91 and an ISD 74, and on both machines the card is activated for four years. Contact Canal Sat's hotline or take it back to where you bought it; those are the only solutions.
Normally, you should not need to connect to the internet to activate the card; it happens automatically through updates on your terminal via satellite.

With the ISD 74, receiving the French FM band works; I was able to verify it at friends' places.

sagem isd91 hd with canal+ card and tnt sat card ( error code problem, my solution)
menu/info/access viacces/card code try 0000 or 1111 or your last parental code or 1234 and create a new one as soon as the display is ok to enter the new code, I use 1111
then everything is ok when going to the channel when the code is asked -18 years
if you are asked for the code on many channels just go to menu/user config/lock and set -18 instead of -10 or -12 or -16
if you have 2 canal+ and tntsat cards and the receiver set in diseq 2 (astra + hotbird)
problem with the tnt card functioning (reinit and reboot continuously)
set back to 1 satellite which is astra in the receiver installation
and there you go, your sagem isd98 will work perfectly
2 weeks of research and all problems solved
