Question

Hello, I just bought a QPS multimedia hard drive model QP3DX/KM 500 GB. This device is fully compatible with my computer (Windows Vista), but when I connect it to the television, the hard drive's program starts up but I see nothing on the TV? It might be that you left the USB connected and tried to connect it with the TV, which is not possible.
You need to disconnect the USB cable from your hard drive, connect the Peritel or another video interface cable, and reset your hard drive by pressing the "start" button. Of course, you need to switch to the correct video channel on the TV.

As for the case of the unrecognized hard drive, try connecting it to another computer and see if it is detected, and if not, then sorry, but you need to contact the brand's maintenance service. I had the same problem and the cause was that I shook the device too much. It's worth noting that an external hard drive can be temperamental... worse than a girl. lol.

If other computers recognize it, then the problem lies with the computer; the solution is to go to Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Computer Management / Disk Management.

There you will see all your hard drives and storage devices appear.

There, if you see your external hard drive, assign it a letter and it's all set.

I just bought a QPS3, it is recognized by my PC, I can transfer files to the HDD, I can read the files on the HDD from the PC, but when I want to read those files on the TV, it says "No media." However, I can read the files on the TV from an SD card in the QPS3 slot. Is there a way to manipulate the HDD so that the TV can recognize it? Thank you for your responses.

Hello.  Take a good look at your manual:  If your wiring is correct (the provided cable must be an AV cable).  On your remote, check the "TV out" button and/or select the AUX3 input on your television.  I have the same product, I just used it. It's fine like that.  --  As a general rule, you should always read the manual before using a product (usage instructions, various risks, and precautions). Generally, I never read the manual because they are long and quickly become tedious. I only read them afterward to discover functions I haven't found out on my own. I already know the product, so I can quickly get to the function described in the manual. BUT this time, the manual isn't particularly thick, so I read it before plugging anything in.  --  Good luck. Hi everyone, I have a problem with my QPS external hard drive, when I transfer files from my PC to my external hard drive, after about 30 seconds, my hard drive disconnects from my PC, it's no longer visible in my computer; however, when I read a file from the hard drive to the PC, there are no disconnection issues. Hello, no, I no longer have the notice. I bought it a year and a half ago, and it plays 90% of audio and video files. Only a few videos don't work; it tells me the codec is not supported. My only problem is that it disconnects when I send files to it. I'm going to connect it to the back of my tower and remove the USB extension as advised.

I don't see which menu you're talking about on the TV; is it a menu from the QPS or from your TV?
As for the disconnection problems, they disappeared when I plugged the USB at the back of the tower instead of the front; the USB ports in the front and back might be different.

I'm also having trouble with my QPS 3 hard drive. It failed on me while I wasn't using it. I noticed that the power plug is all chewed up and it’s dead. So I'm on the lookout for a power plug; if anyone has one, let me know.
