Problem with a STARSAT SR-X4000D receiver

Hello everyone,

I have a little issue with my Starsat receiver,
it's a sr-x4000d. I need to update it to get all the TPS channels, but I don't know how to do it at all!!!
I have the female rs232 cable, but I can't connect it to my computer. So I bought a USB adapter. Will it work anyway???
I know I need to go to this link: http://www.satdw.com/viewdownloads.asp?name=SR-X4200D_SR-X4000D&main=group1
But it offers 3 folders to download (LOADER.zip, SR-X4000D_4200D_V1.3.zip, or SUPER_ONLY_SR-X4000D_4200_081107.zip). Which one should I take and what should I do next... If someone could detail everything for me (because I'm not a computer pro) that would be cool!!!

Thank you in advance!!!

Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

Hello, I also have a problem with my Starsat SR-X4000D. I bought it in Algeria and it was working fine. But for the past two weeks, I can only receive a few channels, and not even TF1 or any French channels. Does anyone know if I need to enter codes or if it's another problem? Thank you for helping me as I’m not knowledgeable about this, it would be very kind of you. Thank you in advance.

    Hello BRABS1

I have exactly the same problem as you. I would be very grateful if you could help me in case you have resolved our common issue.
Furthermore, I can't seem to find the RS232 cable in question, and your mention of a USB adapter makes me think it could be a useful alternative.

    Thank you in advance.
