What is "ABBYY FineReader 6.0 Sprint"

Good evening,

I just found this program on my computer and I don't know what it might be used for.
Can someone shed some light on this and tell me if I can safely delete it?

      To copy texts and transcribe them into Word format (after correction) or PDF.
      Allows you to copy drawings and convert them into Word and PDF.
      This program is great for copying documents.
      Minor drawback, a bit complicated to use but then it becomes very easy

      Advice for drawings, make a compression to reduce file sizes.

      He was installed on my computer with my EPSON printer; I would recommend keeping it to scan your photos with the printer.

    Abby Finreader 6 is an outdated program that should be avoided (vulnerabilities = infection).
    You should get version 9, I believe.

    I recommend installing CCleaner, a small very useful software for cleaning temporary files, the registry (without risk), and launching uninstalls. It is in French despite the website page being in English.

        Hello
        I was in the same situation, this program comes with the printer CD. You need to insert the printer CD, go to the control panel -- uninstall a program -- then click on modify -- repair. Once it's repaired, click on modify again and then delete, and it should work in principle.

    Have you tried in safe mode? You should be able to delete it.
