I forgot to mention that the problem does indeed come from the WMP player because I can watch videos on sites like YouTube where it's not this player, and I have the same issue when it comes to listening to music because it doesn't work on the NRJ site either.
Hoping to find a solution to my problem. -
There is a known Flash Player issue on Vista for videos
go to the following site
https://www.adobe.com/?id=tn_14157
click on
Windows: uninstall_flash_player.exe (178 KB)
This will uninstall Flash, then you need to reinstall it
Go to the link below, then click on Install Now

Hello,
can you specify on which site, what type of video, ...
please elaborate a bit more on your issue.
I see that you have Firefox, which is great, but does it do the same thing on IE?? -
I have the same problem with Internet Explorer; Windows Media Player is "ready," but when I press play, nothing happens.

If you see the QuickTime Player logo with a question mark on it, then I think I have the same problem as you.

I cannot uninstall WMP, but when trying to reinstall it, it tells me that a newer version is installed on my PC, even though I downloaded version 11.

Hello,
control panel -> add/remove programs -> add or remove Windows components.
then reinstall WMP or install .wmv codecs.
does your problem only occur with the web player WMP or with others as well? -
I have Vista and I can't find how to add or remove Windows components.
For the other drives, I don't know because it's WMP that automatically opens on the web page. -
Hello,
I also can't play videos on the internet, even though it's Windows 98. We tried to download Flash Player, but it doesn't work. Can you help me please? Thank you in advance. -
Reinstall WMP and it will update your codecs.
If it's still not better, provide an example of the said video. ;)
