How to download a video from a website?

Hello, the title may seem silly, but there are many videos available on different sites, but it's impossible to right-click and do "save link as..."

So is there a way to download a video from a site anyway?

Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

Well, I think I have the solution to your problem :)

    1 download this software ------>

    Net Transport

2 open the desired video from France 2, right-click, then click on properties---

-----> File at the bottom you’ll find

location--> you copy the address in front of location mms://a988.v101995.exct.....
3 open the downloaded software NetTransport, click on the New button at the top, then paste the copied address in the URL section and press OK

4 wait for the download, then click on Open and you’re done, you have your video on your default player, I have Winamp, it works very well, I tested it, it works.

Well, I hope I was helpful, especially since this is my first intervention here, good luck. :)

there’s another method just to know:

    - The other way to record a streaming video is to use Videolan VLC. This freeware allows
to watch and record the video at the same time while streaming.
    1 - Download and install Videolan VLC version 0.8.5 - Freeware - Size: 7.90 MB - French
2 - Launch VLC Media Player. Click on File at the top of the software then choose Open Network Stream...
3 - In the Open... window that opens, check HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/MMS
4 - In the URL box paste the address mms:// ....
5 - In the lower part of the same window in Advanced Options check Stream/Save.
6 - Next click on the Settings... button that is now active. The Output Stream window opens.
7 - In the Outputs section check the boxes Play Locally and File.
8 - Click on Browse... to specify a location and give a name to the file by adding .asf
    (example: mystream.asf) then Save.
9 - Just below in Encapsulation Method check asf.
10 - Then close both windows: the "Output Stream" window and the "Open..." window by clicking OK.

The video then automatically opens in VLC media player and is saved at the same time in the .asf file.
