voicemail icon that remains displayed

Question

Hello,
I just got a Samsung SGH-J600 mobile... after 7 years with a Nokia 3310, it's quite a change lol
I have a blue icon "voicemail" that stays displayed even though I have no new messages..

How do I remove this icon... I can't find anything, and it's annoying.. I see no options!
I turned it off and on again and it still doesn't work!

I had the same issue with a Samsung S3. All you need to do is call yourself, leave a message, listen to it, and then delete it, and the icon will disappear.

I looked at the link, and the icon I have is not on the list.

It's a kind of blue cassette, this icon is indeed shown on my manual and indicates: voicemail

My sister immediately told me that I had new voicemail messages when I didn’t.....

BUT my phone is brand new, I have a temporary phone number, I’ll switch back to my old number on 11/2, maybe actually I have a message through my old number that I can only listen to on 11/2..
I don't know if I'm being clear... lol

Anyway I don’t quite understand.

In any case, my phone is already acting up, it's glitching and sometimes the screen turns upside down (like a mirror effect) so I'm going to the store tomorrow and I will ask why this icon stays displayed....

I too have this issue with the voicemail icon always being visible, as well as a "notification" message even though I really have no new messages. I have a Samsung i700 with Windows Mobile.
I'm with Bouygues Telecom and you're with SFR, so it's probably not an operator issue.
However, I have stored an archived message (which is kept for a year), but I don't see why that would be a problem...

Does anyone have a solution?

Firmware issue? Bugs with Windows Mobile?

For those with a Samsung Galaxy Ace with Bouygues Telecom, you need to call yourself from another mobile and leave a message on your own voicemail. Then you take your Galaxy Ace, listen to your voicemail, and normally the icon disappears! :)

I had the same issue on my Android phone (Moto G Android 5.0.2)

A restart in safe mode and the icon disappeared. Then a normal restart right after.

(on my phone to start in safe mode:
- phone on: long press on the power button like to turn it on
- the screen displays the "shut down" button on the screen
- Long press on "shut down" and the phone offers to restart in safe mode)
