Upgrade laptop

Hello everyone,

I’m looking to replace my old ACER - Nitro 5 AN517-54-527Z with an Acer Nitro V 17 AI ANV17-41-R76N.

I think I understood that in terms of CPU and GPU it’s not bad, but I don’t know much more than that.

If a kind soul could tell me more.

    It’s an excellent computer, nothing more to say if that’s the question.

    We can dig a bit deeper, determine if it isn’t “too expensive” given the needs, whether there isn’t something more relevant in this price range.

    It’s gaming-oriented:
    - Full-HD 144Hz screen
    - colorimetry not great
    - Large graphics chipset
    - 16GB RAM
    - 1TB SSD storage
    - Big CPU
    - 2.7kg
    - 76Wh battery, it doesn’t last 1 hour at full power with the GPU consuming 85W on its own.
     

    It’s made for gaming, less for productivity. I mean, “we could have allocated productivity resources which are rather devoted to gaming here.”

    If I had a laptop with no budget limit?
    - 1440p screen (almost 2x more pixels than Full HD)
    - panel with optimal colorimetry
    - same 60Hz with a GPU n/a doesn’t matter here (clearly not for gaming)
    - 32 or even 64GB RAM
    - 2TB SSD storage
    - light weight (<1.5kg)
    - flawless cooling
    - the most powerful possible CPU
    - +4h battery life under heavy use

    But those are my uses. I have a dedicated gaming tower and I never game on a laptop.
    If you game, it’s a laptop suited for it.
