Hello,

As soon as I try to open a Windows Office document, for example a doc, dox and other xlx, I now get the error message "the requested operation requires elevation," and that's it. As for the viewers, Windows seems to have locked them too.

If someone has a solution...

Thank you

    Hello,

LibreOffice bugs are documented in this regard, but oh well...

The most frequent causes are that we try to open a document directly as an email attachment rather than saving it to the PC and then opening it, or even after this first step, not unlocking the “unknown source” (right-click, properties, uncheck at the bottom).

See a number of these settings, for example, in this very discussion, even if it sometimes goes off in all directions.

    Hello,

This message appears when opening a file after you have installed a program outside the Microsoft Store with sufficient administrator rights.

It is necessary to uninstall and purge the user profile:
    - Quit LibreOffice
    - Press the Windows key (the little flag) while holding the R key
    - Enter %appdata% > OK
    - Find the LibreOffice folder and rename it OldLibreOffice.

Download the application from the official site and reinstall. A new profile will be created.
